After 2 months of getting my shoes fixed by them and spending $55 they already had a hole in one of the soles. When I brought them back in he told me that they have been worn down a lot. (The only place I walk to is the train station outside our building) I explained that I just got them fixed there and they looked it up. I was right and they just fixed them 2 months earlier. He said that I should replace the sole again and that it would cost another $60. He said that the sole was too thin and that I needed a thicker one. (Something he should have done in the first place) When I said that I would not pay again for this he said he would do half the shoe for $30. I will never go back to this place again. Awful service and very expensive.
Pros: Located in my building
Cons: Horrible work and very expensive

Do not go to Rinaldi's if you need your shoes dyed. I am new to the Back Bay area I decided to go Rinaldi's to get shoes dyed. I was the maid-of-honor in my cousin's wedding in Long Island, NY and needed my white satin shoes to be dyed maroon. I gave Rinaldi's a large sample of the dress and they said that they can do this for me in 3 days. When I went to pick them up, they were purple! I told them that the shoes were dyed the wrong color and they said that they would fix them in another 3 days. When I went to pick them up, they said that they forgot about them and would get them to me in another 3 days. I went to pick them up again and they were still purple! Only a darker purple this time. I told him that they were still the wrong color and he actually argued with me. He really thought that the shoes looked maroon when they were clearly purple. Since I was leaving for New York the next day, I didn't have time to argue with him. I had to wear purple shoes with a maroon dress for the wedding. How embarrassing?!!! If that's not bad enough, they didn't even do a good job in dying the shoes. There was paint on the soles and on the rhinestones.
Pros: Friendly
Cons: Color Blind
