Very Average. I went to see the lead colorist at iSoci a couple of months ago. After about an hour of waiting for my appointment (the colorist did come out to apologize) I finally got into her. My color came out so average and plain that you could barely tell I had gotten it done. Also, because she was running so late and does not cut, I was an hour late getting to the woman to cut my hair and she rushed through the whole thing. She barely did ANY dry hair cutting and basically just gave me a trim. When she did do my dry cut - another employee was on one side of my head blow-drying while she cut. I was SO dissappointed because I had heard such great reviews. It was also incredibly overpriced for what it is. I am sure if you have a very basic haircut/color it's a fine place but for anyone looking for something more, I would recommend finding another salon.

Upbeat Service and Style.
I had my first cut and color at Isoci with one of the lead stylists. She walked me through my hair type and what she was going to do - I felt completely comfortable. She took a full 45 minutes to cut my hair and really paid attention to detail. I got a much better cut and color than I had before for the same price. It is expensive but worth it.
You have to book in advance to get an appointment - the salon is very busy and bit cramped.
All the staff was friendly, accommodating and attitude free, which can be a challenge to find on Newbury St.

Highly Recommended. I have been going to the same stylist for the longest time. I recently had a bad experience so I was loooking for a new place to go. I wanted to stay on Newbury st. because thats where the best stylists are. I asked around and got a few suggestions but I soci was recommended the most. Needless to say I gave it a shot. I got exactly what I was looking for with great service. If you have had a bad experience in the past give this place a try.

A very average salon..... Well, it wasn't what I was thinking of when I thought Newbury Street. Very dark, with the smallest elevator I have ever seen. I should have just gone somewhere in the suberbs, because no one at I Soci had the Newbury Street style I was hoping for. Very schlumpy. I guess I was just expecting something else....

RUDE. i went into i soci salon today to check it out as a potential new salon to have my hair done at.. and all i got were blank stares and ignorant responses. they were completely rude and not even slightly helpful. they seemed like i was bothering them from the second the elevator door opened. needless to say, i walked out and will NEVER return.

I feel like a movie star.... I recently went to I Soci Salon to have my hair done by Megan, a color specialist there, and had a great experience. Finally someone was able to show me what would complement my features. The atmosphere was great, and everyone says my hair has never looked better. I will definitely be back.
