Starr is the Best Hair Salon. My wife and I have been going to Starr for upwards of 20 years, we drive in from Ipswich because Bobby is an expert stylist and a genuinely nice and real person. Everybody at Starr is accommodating and helpful.

We have NEVER had a bad experience at Starr, it is a relaxed yet professional environment (if only they served drinks). I whole heartedly recommend Starr to one and all!!

Great hair salon!. Bobby at Starr Hair Studio has been cutting my hair for many years. He truly makes me feel like a star - or should I say STARR!! I always make plans to go out after my appointment because he makes my hair look completely fabulous. Everyone in the salon is friendly and going there is like visiting with friends. The location is excellent and convenient to lots of great shopping and restaurants as well as public transportation and parking (there is a parking very close by and meter parking also). Try Starr and you will never need to look for another hair salon!

5 Starr Salon. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else but Starr Hair Studio where Bobby always expertly styles, cuts, and colors my hair. By continually attending hair shows and taking classes, the Starr stylists enhance their natural expertise and hone their skills. As a longtime client I love the results, and I am always receiving compliments on my hair.

Additionally the congenial atmosphere provides relaxation , and Bobby has the perfect even temperament for this profession.

Starr Hair Studio. Never have another bad hair day again! I've been commuting to Starr from the South Shore for over twenty years, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. No other salon can compare to what magic occurs there!

Doug's cuts are beyond wonderful, and the best part about them is that the cut looks great even when you style it yourself.

Bobby does my color: georgous, rich, super wow lift when you see the finished results.

Like I said, if you want perfect results every time, this is the salon for you.

WhoTravels 440 miles for a Hair Cut?. I started going to Diane Mathews about 17 years ago when living in Boston. Six years ago I moved back to VT - and still go to Diane! This is a 440 mile round trip every 6 weeks but it is worth it - Diane gives the best hair cut and color of anyone I have been to - and I have been to them all! Plus the ambiance is fantastic - a great treat for a Vermonter!

One of Boston's gems -- let's put it on the Freedom Trail!. I've been trusting my curly hair to Bobby for over 20 years, including on my wedding day. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a haircut or color. Parking is never an issue for me -- I manage to find meters away from Newbury Street.

Great haircut and incredible shampoo!. Diane Matthews at Starr Hair Studio is one of the best stylists around.

In addition to great haircuts, she has the most wonderful, stress-relieving shampoo technique you can imagine. I'm a licensed massage therapist and I can tell you that her scalp and neck massage has been a healing lifesaver for me for many years.

Graet hair styling.. Great service: the stylists listen carefully to your wishes and concerns and then do just as they say will. No one pushes products or extra services- just what you want and need.

Consistently the best!. Starr was recommended to me over 20 years ago and Bobby has been cutting my hair ever since, except for the times he is hot in and I am a desperate bad hair case. All of my cuts and color have been excellent and I am always getting compliments on the the cut (I don't admit to the color and it is so natural). No attitude just great service, enjoyable atmosphere and clean bright surroundings. I highly recommend everyone at Starr!

Talented stylists. Starr has really talented and friendly stylists. If you are looking for a fresh stye or color, this is the place. It is comfortable, affordable and service is quick so your parking meter won't run out.
