Warm, inviting hair salon and day spa lives up to its name as a refuge from hurried, impersonal city living.. The Scene
Elevator doors open to a second floor apartment-style living room where a hip, friendly staff awaits. A narrow hallway leads to a small, intimate rear room of five stylists' chairs in which loyal female patrons of varying ages chat during cuts and color. Most of the time the room is quiet enough to hear only scissors snipping. Glossy wood floors and simple, ivory-colored walls reflect light pouring through giant windows. The room glows with homey cheer.

The Services
Although offering quality facials (including the Gentleman's Facial), nail care and hair removal, cutting and coloring (foils only) hair are their specialty at Oasis. Bedroom-like treatment rooms are tiny but comfortable. Stylists are laid back yet professional, listen carefully and are meticulous. Owner Neil Gannon enjoys one of the greatest honors as a stylist: Designing hair and make-up for Miss Massachusetts USA. Prices are reasonable.

Oasis in the City!. Oasis is one of the best salons in Boston. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable, friendly and gracious. Toby is a particularly talented and skilled stylist. From the receptionists to the assistants - everyone in this Salon is customer-focused, approachable and interested in ensuring you have a great experience.

Toby is the best!!!. This is a great salon and Toby is the best stylist around. I have been a customer of this salon for over 3 years, and I have never had a bad hair cut. If you are looking for a reliable and talented stylist Toby is your man, I wouldn't trust anyone else to style/cut/color my hair.

I LOVE this place!. First--Neil is terrific; I would go to him just to chat, without even getting my hair cut! That said, I have been going to him for over 10 years and he gives the best cuts I have ever had. Through moves in and out of the city, in and out of state, I still go back to him. And no one can straighten my coarse, wavy hair like Neil. Although I would still have have him cut my hair if he were doing it in a cave, the new salon location is just gorgeous.

As for value, he is the best value in town. I cannot recommend this salon more highly.

kt. Corey is the very best hairstylist in this City.. I have been one of his biggest fans for years and years.. anyone not in the know is seriously missing out.. great cut.. great color.. the best!!!

An unpretentious, rejuvinating spot. Oasis is terrific - great, relaxing atmosphere free of the pretentious attitude and the general chaos found at so many Newbury Street spots. The stylists are wonderful (Neil, the owner, is the master of color) and the aesthetician, Harmony, works wonders. I look forward to going in every eight weeks for some pampering and always feel wonderful when I leave. Bonus: great head massages with the shampoo!

Professional and Accommodating. I stopped in one afternoon out of desparation and was pleasantly greeted by the staff. They reworked their schedule and took me right there on the spot - to top it off, it was the best cut and color I've ever had. I'm definitely going back.
