Priscilla is AMAZING!. PRISCILLA IS AMAZING! I went to Priscilla at Avanti after having a bad experience at a pricey Newbury Street Salon. I needed a color correction and cut that would tame my mane. I have a LOT of frizzy hair that is hard to control. I told Priscilla generally what I wanted (to be blonde, but less "bleached" looking, and that I needed a cut that would be fun yet professional). I also asked her for her input. She told me we could make the highlights brighter and warmer, and contrast it with darker highlights. She also told me that the old salon had cut my ends far too bluntly and that she would soften them, especially the edges around my face.

Needless to say, my high expectations were fulfilled! I LOVE my color, and oh, the cut! It cuts down on blowdrying time in the morning and now my hair actually has movement. Priscilla was so nice and welcoming and lovely to chat wtih---this isn't a stuffy place. I couldn't be happier and STRONGLY recommend that anyone in Boston need of a little boost give Priscilla a call!

My Wedding Hair!!!. I have searched forever to find a colorist in Boston. Priscilla Collins corrected my brassy yellow hair and made it perfect! I had her style my hair for my wedding on the Cape. It was a windy hot day, however; thanks to Priscilla my bridesmaids and I looked simply beautiful. Priscilla was so sweet, making sure I felt like it was my day. I would recommend her 100%. Priscilla is truly the best in the business,

BEST BLOND HIGHLIGHTS.... If you want the BEST BLOND HIGHLIGHTS... go to Priscilla Collins at Avanti Salon. She is the Best in Boston! Not only do I love her talent but she is really cool too. The front desk staff made me feel comfortable and Priscilla is my favorite stylist ever!!!

Best Corrective Colorist in Boston. Priscilla Collins is the BEST CORRECTIVE COLORIST in BOSTON. I have been to so many salons on Newbury St.. searching for the perfect blond highlights. Priscilla gave me the most gorgeous Blond Highlights I have ever had. She taught me how to take care of my hair and I just love her! She also knows the Best of everything in Boston! My hair has never looked better!

Avanti is Awesome. I have had the pleasure of being introduced to this salon because the owner and management have participated in Buy With Me coupons. This is a BIG benefit to the staff to ensure a healthy flow of business and allow new clients to try out the salon. I have had a fabulous experience and would recommend Julie. With that said, everyone's hair seems to always look great and they have made me a long term new client. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Not very happy. I am very displeased with the experience I had at Avanti salon. When I first arrived, the atmosphere seemed fine and I must admit, the woman who shampooed my hair gave me one of the best head massages, well, ever.

I was dismayed, however, by the poor job done by my stylist Jenida. I booked an appointment with her based on city search reviews, and had high expectations. I was very disappointed, however, in the job she did. From the moment she started cutting my hair to the time she claimed to be finished, only 20 minutes had passed-- including the blow dry. NEVER in my days of paying for $60+ haircuts have I ever experienced such a short cut. After she finished drying my hair, I thought she was going to continue with a dry cut...nope. She asked me how I liked it instead! I was shocked to say the least, considering the amount of time she spent actually cutting my hair was probably under ten minutes.

On top of this, she managed to give me one of the worst and most sloppy looking blowouts I have ever seen. It looked like my hair had air dried, which, mind you, does not look good.

Stupidly I gave this woman a good tip and forgot to tip my shampooer. I will not be going back to this salon, although I did see one woman leave with a beautiful cut. Do not book with Jenida!

Priscilla at Avanti is Best of Boston!. Call Avanti NOW, and schedule an appointment with PRISCILLA! Her consultation skills are perfect. She listens, she performs, she delivers in all the ways a great hair stylist should.

I was referred to Priscilla by Katrina Hess (also AMAZING / the best makeup artist ever) about 2 years ago. Priscilla saved my hair. No one could seem to get my vision. Priscilla listened, and now my hair is the best it has ever been. She also taught me how to blow it out myself, so I look great every morning before I go to work!!!

Priscilla also styled my hair for my wedding last August and she surpassed ALL expectations. She arrived early, with a smile on her face, and made us all look and feel special and gorgeous. My husband had tears in his eyes and his mother was impressed! Our wedding album came out better than expected due to Priscilla's expertise. I had no idea how much Priscilla's positive energy would keep me composed throughout the whole day.

best cut i've ever had. i recently had my haircut from val at avanti and i have to say its the best haircut ive ever had! i was searching for a new salon and avanti had so many good reviews online i called to make an appiontment..luckily i got in that same day..val was really friendly and explained the haircut she had in mind for me and i love it..i left feeling like a celebrity she gave me a cool curled blowout..ive gotten so many compliments..the whole salon is friendly from the assistants to the front desk..i definetly reccomend val at avanti

Best nails, best blowout. First, Bernice is the greatest nail tech in Boston. The pedicures here are a little pricey at $50, but after a full hour of foot cleaning, my feet are so beautiful and soft you could kiss them! She uses this foot sanding machine that's not painful at all like some scrapers out there and your feet will come out smooth and polished. I go here as often as I can afford it. Lasts long enough for a polish change or two at the cheap places too.

Second, Julia does the most beautiful blowouts I've ever seen. Two friends of mine see her for cut and color and they kept coming back with shiny smooth, voluminous curls cascading down their shoulders. So, when I had an event, I went to her and have never had a better blowdry in my life. Now, I go to her for all my special occasions and it lasts for days. Holiday parties, new year's eve, birthdays...I look great that night and for a few days after. That's why I always make sure to get a blowdry from her just before vacations, so when I step off the plane, I know I already look fabulous.

Janida is amazing. After years of searching I finally found the perfect hairstylist. I have difficult hair, but Janida always knows exactly what to do with it to make it look great. Equally important, she is so sweet and personable. She always makes me feel comfortable, she is not the least bit snobby like the rest of the professional staff. My experiences there are always great, but the very best part is the shampoo when they give a very relaxing head massage. The assistants are always very attentive. AND...the prices are very reasonable.
