Tucked away in its Newbury Street basement, Blades, Board & Skate houses a small collection of outdoor sporting gear, including snowboards, in-line skates and skateboards. Snowboards come in kids and adult sizes, ranging between $300-$600. Choose from brands like Burton and Forum. If the idea of riding on wheels is more appealing, check out the variety of skateboards. Decks will set you back $50-$52, and you'll have to purchase the trucks and wheels separately. Spend a lot or a little on in-line skates: Tecnica ($179.99), Raps Explorer ($724.99). Don't worry about asking questions before you buy; the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
