Editorial Review for Aujourd'hui – by Eric Grossman
The Scene
Perfect for a business dinner or a romantic rendezvous, Aujourd'hui's spacious, high-ceilinged dining room provides an elegant setting for a memorable dining experience. Those fortunate to snag a window table enjoy an elevated view of the Public Gardens, while everyone else stays occupied by studying the luxurious wine list and stealing glances at their fellow diners. Respectfully subdued service never steals the spotlight away from the food.
The Food
Befitting the restaurant's name (French for "today"), the kitchen incorporates artful, intricate combinations of rare ingredients, many of which are flown in daily. This approach yields such rewards as a grilled ahi tuna appetizer, served with a Kataifi fried egg, Ratatouille and sweet pepper syrup, or a seared black sea bass entree that's nearly overshadowed by the accompanying eggplant confit and Maitake risotto. An ever-changing dessert menu might yield a summery apricot and vanilla bean parfait with raspberry sorbet and blackberry compote.

This was my 2nd time dining at this restaurant. I had recently proposed and the maitre d made sure we were sat at the large windows overlooking the Common. Everyone congratulated us and was served complimentary champagne as we sat. The decor really is very elegant. The restaurant has done a fine job of coming across as being classy and luxurious without being stuffy. The food was exceptional. High points to mention are the lobster bisque, beef loin and a great wine list. The highlight of the dinner was the Chocolate Soufflé. It was simply to die for. If you do one thing in your life before you die, you must try this! I have never tasted anything better. The staff was polite, courteous and made sure we had the best possible experience. I highly recommend dining here.
Pros: Chocolate Soufflé, Wine List, Ambience and Attention to Detail
Cons: none
