In the fall of 2002, after 17 years on Newbury Street, Davio's relocated to 75 Arlington Street. Handsomely filling the first floor of the
legendary Paine Furniture Building in Park Square, the room's urbane sophistication remains true to the integrity of this landmark Back Bay structure while fulfilling owner Steve DiFillippo's restaurant wish list.
The space has allowed Davio's to build an enormous open kitchen backed with a bakery where both pastry chef and baker make all of the desserts and breads offered here. A temperature-controlled wine room holds more than 300 different bottles while two full-time wine stewards are employed.

“When the weather is poor, having parking in the building is a big plus.”
“Dessert was basically a warm apple crustado with vanilla ice cream that underwhelmed.”
“The sommalier was a very nice woman who really took a lot of care in selecting the perfect wine to go with our dinner.”
“had the filet, which was excellent; my boyfriend had the r@ck of lamb and loved it; his mother had the jumbo shrimp and his stepdad had the sirloin - both were thrilled.”
“The restaurant is beautiful, the menu is creative with something for every taste, you can park in the building, and it's next to the better hotels and the theater district.”
“Very nice place, upscale, steakhouse type atmosphere, great service, great wine list, expensive but you get what you pay for in terms of quality and service.”
“The food was perfect and our server was very attentive.”
“If you don't drink Davios is great, otherwise there are other restaurants with food as good and affordable wine as good.”
“Time and effort went into the preparations; the soup I had was served at the exact right temp., and when I got up for a minute tright after the server brought our entrees, she asked if I wanted them brought back and kept warm while I was gone (I declined)”View Less
Delicious but overpriced.. Dinner for 4, tip included came to $500. Although the food was delicious, I can't imagine dining there too many times a year. Our dinner included a $70 bottle of wine, 3 appetizers, 4 dinners (1 Bolognese, 2 Veal Chops, 1 Filet Mignon) and 2 Deserts, 2 Capacchino, 2 glasses of Port Wine). One other time I went for Lunch and it was $50 per person (salad, pasta, desert and capacchino). Very delicious and good service. Only problem is the bill at the end of the meal.…
Dovio's Excellent Service. My first trip to Boston was quite challenging as I attempted to navigate the Boston "attitude." I went to a restaurant close to Davio's (will remain nameless) and had a bad experience with the host who appeared to not want to seat me and my co-worker. We walked over to Dovico's and was greeted very warmly. The service was top notch, wine was great, water glass never went empty, and the food was superb. I ordered the scallops and my co-worker ordered a steak. His steak was cooked perfectly and my scallops were as well. The dessert was AWESOME! If I ever visit Boston again, it will be my FIRST stop!!!…
Good Food Terrible Service.
I have recently moved to Boston from New York and live right around the corner from Davio's s, and have always wanted to go to dinner there.
The night I went I was with 5 other people so 6 total. We were looking to eat and drink well not just a cocktail and an appetizer.
When we first got there the man who greeted us was extremely friendly and helpful. He had told us it was going to be about 10-15 minutes they had to get our table ready. No problem we went to the bar and had a cocktail. Our table was ready shorter then that amount so we carried our drinks to the table. The table was amazing we sat right by a window and had a semi-private space.
We were greeted by Betty the rudest woman I have ever encountered at a steak house. She rolled her eyes every time we asked her for something. We are talking simple things like a glass of water. She refused to let us order our appetizers and salads at different points then our meal. She firmly told us the kitchen doesn't let her submit orders separately. She also started take the wine glasses off the table. One of the people I was with asked if she could leave them on the table because we were going to order wine in a few. She then snapped back "to let her do her job".
The food was very good. Everyone I was with ordered steak and there was not one bad thing said about the food. The only thing I didn't like was the sides. Normally the sides are family style but these were individual.
We didn't stiff Betty but I wouldn't go back there because she was so awful and rude and there are so many other choices out there.…
I found god through the lobster risotto. I had read a review in a book about this place and decided to check it out while visiting Boston. We sat at the bar. Bar staff was great. We started with the lobster risotto. We order the small portion to share as an app but honestly I wish I had ordered the large for my dinner. It was divine!! Perfectly al dente. Huge chumchs of lobster..sauce was amazing. After we had two filets and scallops..these were average. I will be talking about that risotto for a long time. Lol…
The best. If you live in Boston and are looking to have a great meal you must hit this spot. I continue to go back to Davio's not only for the great food but a great bar scene after work on a Thursday or Friday. My favorite thing on the menu is the Veal Chop, you can't go wrong with it.…
