“The staff are really friendly.”
“service was good and best of all its cheap!”
“It is a very small place, perfect to hop in and out for a quick, delicious and inexpensive bite of sushi.”
Newbury Street sushi spot treats weary shoppers to fast service and low prices..
With less than twenty seats available, Snappy Sushi is not a place to linger over a romantic meal--patrons tend to eat-and-run or take out. The clientele is mixed, from professional types on cell phones to students and the usual Newbury Street glitterati. The restaurant makes its name on good sushi prepared quickly--there's a full selection of traditional choices, plus popular house creations like the Newbury Fashion roll (eel, avocado, cream cheese, cucumber, tobiko). Citing a committment to health, the restaurant exclusively uses Koshihikari brown rice.

Gross..
Yesterday I was very shocked and disgusted to find a chunk of sand in my Lunch Don. It's pretty clear they do not even rinse their vegetables. We were even more furious at the manager's attitude--She acted like it was not her fault and blamed her employees who prepared the food.
Yes it is cheap and may taste decent. But if you care just a tiny bit about your health and the quality of food, this is not the place for you.
great healthy food. great food great location! will try all in their menu! Asian hospitality and Service is always there!!!
Always a wonderful experience!. This little hole in the wall below Newbury St. is one of my favorite places for sushi. The service isn't great, but considering the value of the food and the location, I can't complain. I've probably tried everything on the menu and I've loved most of it. The bathroom is clean (and smells nice), which is suprising for small places like these. Great place to stop by after a day of shopping or to bring friends for a casual meal, craving sushi or don't have a lot of cash.
best sushi!!. Finally my fiance took me to this sushi place after him constantly raving about it. There were many, many times that we wanted to go but the line was longer than our patience however we just ate here 2 days ago and I fell in love with it! the sushi was fresh. service was good and best of all its cheap! Only problem its super busy and there is usually a long wait however being very busy its a good sign.
Tasty and Fresh. Shino Express is a fantastic sushi place. The sushi is very tasty, fresh and really inexpensive. It's a tiny place that offers takeout. It's hard to get a seat so takeout may be your only choice. The service is great. The staff are really friendly. Try the seaweed salad. It may not sound that appealing but it tastes great.
Definitely the Best Value. This is the best sushi for the price in the Boston area. Are we allowed to mention price? $2.50 for tekka or salmon maki. Most of the "named" rolls are $5-6.95. And there are more generous "contents" in the rolls than at other sushi places in Boston. Testimony (and the only downside): At mealtimes, the wait can be long. The place is tiny. However, you might go to other sushi restaurants just a block away or around the corner, and they are lightly patronized at the same time. Oh, and while the others might have a couple of sushi chefs working, this one always has 5-6. The restaurant also has take-out, and that moves faster than getting a table or a seat at the sushi bar.
Just Yummy!.
I stumbled on this place a few years ago and have ever since been hook. The food is so good and fresh that I've even tried things that Americans would think weird like fugu liver over rice and freshwater eel. And if you like Japanese food then you got to try their seaweed salad and miso soup. I make trips there in the winter just for the soup. Beleive me you get your money worth, the most I've spent eating here is only $12 and that included the tip. The waitstaff are very friendly an opent to offer tips if you don't know what to try or if you've never had sushi before.
This is a no frills place so don't go here if your looking for high end food and service.
delicious. this is place is really good and cheap . you can have a great meal for very low price. the sushi is really fresh.
