This is a fairly expensive place. I knew that going it, and went anyway because I am willing to pay a little more for a very good job. It wasn't. I brought in a very simple job--a new suit that fit me almost perfectly, and that just needed a little taking in. They did so, but when I tried it on it was pulling in all the wrong spots. Then he told me it just needed to be pressed, and it would all be fine. I knew pressing would not solve it. He pressed it then and there, and, low and behold, it did not fix it. So they took it back to fix. What bothered me wasn't the fact it didn't fit me perfectly, but the fact that he tried to pass it off as something pressing would fix when it was more fundamental than that. And they rush you in and out. So you're paying 1.5x the price of others for this privilege--no thanks. I recommend Frank's Custom Tailoring near the Park Street T and Jack's Tailoring in Porter Square.
Pros: Good location.
Cons: They rush you, try to pass off substandard work, expensive

I had a neck tie taken in on the sides and I went by 2 days early to pick it up. It was finished, except that it was completely off centered. They went back and fixed it, but I definitely think that's pretty shoddy work for the price you pay and all the hype you hear. From a place listed in Best of Boston, you at least expect obvious problems fixed before they consider it finished.
Cons: price not worth the quality
