The Scene
If you want to dress like Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera then shimmy on over to Players of Newbury. The boutique is perfect for young women of size 6, club kids and pop princesses who want to showoff the latest body-conscious trends. Be warned though, unless you fit the above criteria you will probably feel like a schoolmarm. In keeping with the popstar vibe the shop blasts funky dance music and has leopard print curtains for the dressing rooms.
The Goods
Early 20-somethings and teens will love the sexy dresses, clingy tops and cool jeanswear. The clothes are perfect for a night of dancing at Avalon and come in lots of sequins ruffles, lycra, leather, and lace. Jeans held together with safety pins, ruffled stomach-baring peasant blouses, and feather and lycra one-armed tops are a few of the fun and trendy offerings. The prices are perfect for young budgets with many things under $50.

my opinion is kindof biased because my dad started the store like...15 or 13 years ago (before i was born) and most clothes except for sweaters and jackets arent really for preteens but its the store my dad puts his whole heart into and one day sop will I. if you are in Boston you have to go!
Pros: people service my dad
Cons: parking on newbury st. is bad but you dont need a car in boston just walk and enjoy...pretty much everything

Love everything about the store and the prices are just amazing. I always get compliments on anything I wear from this store. The sales people are always helpful.
