Editorial Review for Serenella – by Alyson Baker
The Scene
This minisculo impresa, Italian for tiny boutique, is a fashion classic nestled among Newbury's finest since 1918. Inside the aged front door, a narrow but deep space awaits the avid "Harper's Bazaar" reader. All-white counters and shelves highlight dark, sophisticated garments and vibrant reds and blues. The pearls of the store, such as gemmed sweaters, are center stage in a glass case.
The Goods
From simple black dresses to notice-me cashmere sweaters, the store silently screams European chic. It's the type of place where you expect to see six-foot-tall, tousle-haired models mixing with the feathered coats and Italian footwear. The store attracts young, but sophisticated, well-traveled women. Shoppers can find Euro designers such as Pucci and Narciso Rodriguez, as well as up-and-coming designers. The tiny white T-shirt is a welcome find, and starts at $50. An array of cocktail and party dresses is priced upwards of $600.

Took forever for someone to let me in since you need to be buzzed in. Given dirty looks immediately. Would NEVER shop there.

I love the atmosphere in this store, and the ladies at the store are all so nice. They're not pushy, and they can make great suggestion for you. Clothes there at great, especially in the collection of Roberto Cavalli and Narciso Rodriguez.
