Horrible service. This is one of the worst places to shop in Boston. I was ignored and never greeted. The sales people merely glanced me over and continued chatting. The selection is spotty. I have no idea what everyone is raving about. Don't shop here unless you like bad service and wasting your time!

Gorgeous clothes and rude, rude staff. When I moved to Boston, everyone told me that Louis was the local equivalent of Barney's (my favorite place to shop in NYC). They also warned me that the sales staff are notoriously rude, and so far I've found that to be 100% true. I've been in the store 5 or 6 times and NEVER had a salesperson acknowledge my existence. Does the management want to be sending out these negative vibes, or are they just oblivious? It's frustrating- they have great + fabulous clothes, gift items, shoes- but I just can't bring myself to give these people any money. Thank goodness Barney's opened downtown- those of us who wanted to be treated kindly can shop there instead!

Reading other reviews makes it sound like the folks at Louis are nice to *some* people, but they're certainly not to me.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I would highly recommend a shopping spree at Louis Boston. What a fabulous place. I am orginally from LA and shopping here felt like I never left home...although some fashion was a bit more conservative. The customer service was excellent. I received alot of personal attention and help. I highly recommend shopping here.

My Favorite Store!. Although I don't often get into the store it is my favorite place to shop when I am in town! The staff is easy to talk to and helpful!

Longtime Louis Client. It was 1963 when I got my Bar Mitzvah suit at Louis. (I think the girls at my party were somewhat impressed)

They have been making me look and feel great ever since.

It's the total experience, ambiance of the store, never any pressure, and the commitmant to extreme quality that keeps me coming back for more.

BEST SHOPPING IN TOWN. After years of living in Boston, I finally ventured into Louis and was SO impressed! The first floor has food, bath stuff, candles, antiques, cd's - lots of affordable things. The 4th floor (women's) was amazing - more expensive than mall shopping, but the clothing was like nothing I've seen - beautiful, worth it. Great cosmetics at normal prices. I thought the sales people were very pleasant and helpful - not overbearing at all and certainly not stuck up. I ended up buying quite a bit and will certainly return! Oh - and parking!

Worst Service Ever- Big Attitude. I have never encountered such rude sales associates and managers. The attitude of the manager is definitely replicated throughout the ladies clothing department. Shocking considering these economic times. Don't shop here, wait to go to NYC.

Rude!Rude!Rude!. I recently visited Boston and went in to find my husband some clothes.All I have to say is the employees were extremely rude and snobby.Seeing how they probably make minimum wage or not much more than that working in retail they really have no reason to be like that especially if they expect customers to return.The funny thing is I was dressed casually that day and if they only knew that my husband and I own a multi million dollar construction company......maybe if I had dressed "the part"that day I may have gotten different service.Disgusting!
