Great Food plus Mr. Dlimpio (Sp) – My first time to Pf Chang's I had no high expecatations I was hungry and in a bit of a rush. My mother was on borrowed time and I wanted to get back to her. Well of course there was a wait, I was on my way out . when I was stoped by i assume it was the manager Mr D limpio (SP) anyways he engaged me in conversation told what was going on . He found me seat I had a great meal and excellent service. For a chain resturant they gave you first class service with stlye. I'm Home now and life is back to normal, I will make ita point to visit my local PF Chan's
My favorite chain for fusion eats – I love PF Chang's. Yes, it's a chain with nothing too out of the ordinary on the menu, but I'm definitely not one of those super snooty foodies who only goes/appreciates authentic local restaurants. My favorite, which the staff always recommends and everyone seems to always have on their tables, is the lettuce wrap appetizer. For the entrees I love the double pan-fried noodles and the crispy honey chicken. There's always so much too choose from though and I've tried about half of the menu to know that pretty much everything is really delicious! Also, like I mention in the "Pros" section, the Asian Pear Mojito is my absolute favorite drink on the menu. It's also one of the only mojitos I actally like (I'm not a fan of mint drinks at all, but the Asian pear is deliciously subtle on the mint and stronger on the citrus side). Also, the Park Plaza location is great but there's also a PF Chang's in the Prudential and at the Northshore mall if you're looking (they're all equally great to me).
Great place to take your parents – PF Chang's is a family favorite when my parents come in to Boston for a visit! We always get the lettuce wraps, and ask to mix the signature sauce a bit spicier than normal. If you're here with little money in your pocket, the fried rice is less than $9 and there's always extras to take home. The sake is yummy, and cocktails in general are also pretty good.
Awesome restaurant with a nice ambience! – I am suprised with some of the other reviews. This is a great restaurant with great food. The waitstaff is very well trained. The food is very well priced.
I love it!
Great place to go on a date with someone special!
Don't waste your time or money – P.F. Changs is what I would consider Chinese fast food. We ordered the VIP DUCK, which had no flavor and seemed VERY TENDER which is a sign that they used PROCESSED DUCK, which is ground up, compressed, then putting the skin back on. The lettuce wraps had nothing traditional with Chinese. The Shrimp with Lobster Sauce didn"t even come close to being the traditional MANDARIN DISH. What? vinegar at the table? what for? The only two dishes that were traditional and flavorful was the SHRIMP DUMPLINGS & the WONTON SOUP. P.F. Changs is also overpriced. Stick to China Town or your favorite local takeout.
Highly recommended for Take Out – I have to admit, I have never sat down at this restaurant. I always do "Take Out". That being said, it's hard not to miss the crowds waiting for a table. So if you go, plan to wait for a table during peak times.
More importantly, the food is quite good. Big fan of the Mongolian Beef, the Peking dumplings, the Shrimp dumplings, the Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and Stir-fried Buddha's feast.
The food is well prepared and you never have to wait for take out. It is soooo much better than the Prudential PF Chang (see that review).
The food is a little more expensive than most Chinese Takeouts...but in a lot of ways, I think it is worth it.
If you have a hankering for PF Changs, I recommend this location.
Great food! – I love this place! Living in Boston, its hard to find a great place to grab take out without hurting your wallet...(unless you want a pizza or salad) Changs is a great value and the food is consistantly good. Their lettuce wraps are to die for and if you like chicken, beef or seafood of any kind - you are sure to find a dish to satisfy...I love grabbing take out from here because the portions are good size...order a few different dishes and share...you will love it! Great if you are having friends over!
This gussied-up chain bustles with singles and families craving Chinese food favorites. – In Short
Towering twin stallions and carved wood screens add majesty and mystery to this stylish restaurant, where well-dressed patrons sip martinis at the bar and families with children feast around large tables or in spacious booths. The menu gives Chinese classics a contemporary tweak; dishes are artfully presented, with many sauces made tableside by servers. Signature plates include diced chicken wrapped in cool lettuce leaves, orange-peel beef with chili peppers, and wok-fried scallops with lemon sauce.
don't have to pay that kind of price for chinese food – went there few times mainly for after-work drinks, which are great. love the pear mojito to start off the summer. food... not too impressed since i'm asian. feel that some items (ex. potstickers) are just over-priced food that sometimes come with a fancier plate or presentation. service varies, as they're always sooo busy.
only thing that's been deterring me from patronizing is because i've heard some negative things about its owners (whom i heard are not asians). something that has to do with their discriminatory views against asians, whose cuisine ideas they are capitalizing on. what irony is that! i have nothing against high-end asian restaurants (quite on the contrary, i cheer for their success!), but if anyone is trying to reap off benefits by/from/while taking advantage or discriminating against a certain racial group, then there's a problem. i have not been able to verify the truth in these rumors, but i became guarded upon the first hearing of the news. i hope what i heard was false, otherwise i'll definitely start a full-fledged boycott against this place.
Terrific chinese restaurant with nice atmosphere – I cant believe some of the other reviews. This a great restaurant. I know chinese food...we have some
great places in Boston but t his one is consistantly good. Menu is very imaginitive and food always well
prepared. Very surprising this can be done in a Chain with few chinese workers. It has a nice atmosphere with a great bar...looks very fancy so I can entertain here. Prices are also cheap. Located next to Four Seasons and Park Plaza Hotel. When I first went to the place and then found out it was a national chain it was hard to believe. Trust me...this place is well worth visiting.
