In Short – Towering twin stallions and carved wood screens add majesty and mystery to this stylish restaurant, where well-dressed patrons sip martinis at the bar and families with children feast around large tables or in spacious booths. The menu gives Chinese classics a contemporary tweak; dishes are artfully presented, with many sauces made tableside by servers. Signature plates include diced chicken wrapped in cool lettuce leaves, orange-peel beef with chili peppers, and wok-fried scallops with lemon sauce.

  12. The atmosphere is nice.
  13. given its location, PFs food fails to compare to numerous restaurants a block away.
  14. If you have a hankering for PF Changs, I recommend this location.
  15. Very good food and nice atmosphere
  16. Also, the Park Plaza location is great but there's also a PF Chang's in the Prudential and at the Northshore mall if you're looking (they're all equally great to me).

  1. All the desserts are fantastic but the Banana Spring Rolls are to die for.
  2. The great wall of chocolate is good, but you need to split it with at least 4 people.

  1. It has a nice atmosphere with a great bar.
  2. the server was cute and got our drinks very very fast ;-) Maybe she wants us to get drunk.
  3. The wait can be long but on the upside they have a nice bar if you can't plan ahead and get a reservation.
  4. went there few times mainly for after-work drinks, which are great.
  5. There's usually a wait to be seated, so I'd advise calling ahead, but the bar is well stocked with lots of delicious martinis, so waiting isn't that bad of a thing.
  6. From the start at the bar to the finish, this place was great!
  7. The sake is yummy, and cocktails in general are also pretty good.
  8. The outdoor area is the only place I'll sit, especially in the nicer weather, the drinks are good, the staff is great and the food is unbelievably good.
  9. Also, like I mention in the "Pros" section, the Asian Pear Mojito is my absolute favorite drink on the menu.
  10. they seated us promptly and the server(Rose) was awesome straight away, making us feel comfortable though we weren't there to eat, but just to drink and it was our first time in that place.
food quality

  1. I've had authentic stuff and honestly, i find the flavors to be extremely bland, the food to be dull and unimaginative, and the whole experience to be an overall dupe.
  2. These dishes are more of a contemporary asain cuisine, not authentic Chinese.
  3. The meal was excellent, the service very attentive, and it was not as expensive as I had expected.
  4. The food is always excellent.
  5. This is a great restaurant with great food.
  6. On the other hand, if you aren't looking for authentic Chinese food, this place does serve decent dishes.
  7. Everyone got something on the menu we enjoyed--the food was fast and tasty--if only the line wasn't so long to get in.
  8. The sake is yummy, and cocktails in general are also pretty good.
  9. This place had horrible food.
  10. If you want good chinese food, just stick with the quick take- out restaurants.
  11. There's usually a wait to be seated, so I'd advise calling ahead, but the bar is well stocked with lots of delicious martinis, so waiting isn't that bad of a thing.
  12. haven't had a bad dish yet.
  13. Consistantly good food, great prices, fast.
  14. The food and service are awesome and the lettuce wraps rock.
  15. Yes, it's a chain with nothing too out of the ordinary on the menu, but I'm definitely not one of those super snooty foodies who only goes/appreciates authentic local restaurants.
  16. order a few different dishes and share.
  17. For good chinese food the cook knows best about the taste.
  18. P.F. Chang's definitely has the best Chinese food in Boston.
  19. Very good food and nice atmosphere
  20. The food is a little more expensive than most Chinese Takeouts.
  21. The food was excellet, fairly priced, and our waitress was the best waitress I've ever had.
  22. My favorite dishes are the steamed vegetable dumplings, wonton soup, beef & broccoli, and fried rice.
  23. It was by far the best Chinese food, and service, I have ever had!
  24. also like the kung-pao chicken and shrimp, Chang's spicy chicken, Mongolian Beef, and chicken lo mein.
  25. For the entrees I love the double pan-fried noodles and the crispy honey chicken.
  26. Everything was fried (which, in authentic Asian cuisine, is rarely done), oily and overly processed.
  27. Great food!
  28. love their food, although the portions a.
  29. Their lettuce wraps are to die for and if you like chicken, beef or seafood of any kind - you are sure to find a dish to satisfy.
  30. While I agree that this place is great for a chain restaurant, there are much more authentic options out there for Chinese food.
  31. this place is awful for chinese food.
  32. (unless you want a pizza or salad) Changs is a great value and the food is consistantly good.
  33. PF Chang's brings together a good combo of Chineese food with a setting you wouldn't be embarrased bringing your parents or a date to, as most Chineese restaruants might with its tacky paintings and red carpets.
  34. If you like real chinese food, this is not the place to go unless you are just going for the ambience.
  35. Chinese food is my favorite food.
  36. The food is fantastic!
  37. Great food, great prices, great ambience, hot waitresses - what could be better?
  38. The food was excellent.
  39. There's always so much too choose from though and I've tried about half of the menu to know that pretty much everything is really delicious!
  40. Although the value here isn't bad, I suggest stepping up the dining experience and going to Golden Temple in Brookline where the food and DRINKS are 100%better!
  41. Terrible service--overpriced-greasy versions of wonderful Chinese food!
  42. Food is quite tasty, but not authentic.
  43. love PF Changs - it's always excellent & fresh!
  44. usually get the shrimp lobster sauce (which is nothing like it is at fast food restaurants) and my husband LOVES the sweet and sour chicken.
  45. With the heaters they have you're as warm as sitting inside, but you get the beauty and fresh air sitting outside.
  46. The atmosphere is great, and the food is even better.
  47. given its location, PFs food fails to compare to numerous restaurants a block away.
  48. can't deny that the prices were good and some of the flavors were great, but the food in general didn't seem at all fresh.
  49. More importantly, the food is quite good.
  50. If you have never eaten chinese food before, this might be a reasonable introduction where you will not be intimidated.
  51. Though the food is not necessarliy chinese (and when do Americans ever really get authentic chinese anyway) it is very tastey.
  52. If you're looking for a wonderful place to go eat Chinese food, go to P.F. Chang's China Bistro!
  53. The outdoor area is the only place I'll sit, especially in the nicer weather, the drinks are good, the staff is great and the food is unbelievably good.
  54. This is a place to find good food in a good setting, if that food is Chineese.

My favorite chain for fusion eats

by josiebean87 , Citysearch Contributor at Citysearch

I love PF Chang's. Yes, it's a chain with nothing too out of the ordinary on the menu, but I'm definitely not one of those super snooty foodies who only goes/appreciates authentic local restaurants. My favorite, which the staff always recommends and everyone seems to always have on their tables, is the lettuce wrap appetizer. For the entrees I love the double pan-fried noodles and the crispy honey chicken. There's always so much too choose from though and I've tried about half of the menu to know that pretty much everything is really delicious! Also, like I mention in the "Pros" section, the Asian Pear Mojito is my absolute favorite drink on the menu. It's also one of the only mojitos I actally like (I'm not a fan of mint drinks at all, but the Asian pear is deliciously subtle on the mint and stronger on the citrus side). Also, the Park Plaza location is great but there's also a PF Chang's in the Prudential and at the Northshore mall if you're looking (they're all equally great to me).

  • Pros: good food for a chain restaurant, best Asian pear mojito!
  • Cons: nothing really too out of the ordinary

Great place to take your parents

by gethebassics , Citysearch Contributor at Citysearch

PF Chang's is a family favorite when my parents come in to Boston for a visit! We always get the lettuce wraps, and ask to mix the signature sauce a bit spicier than normal. If you're here with little money in your pocket, the fried rice is less than $9 and there's always extras to take home. The sake is yummy, and cocktails in general are also pretty good.

  • Pros: Quality food, great service, delicious sake
  • Cons: Pricey for what you get

Don't waste your time or money

by photodoc1 at Citysearch

P.F. Changs is what I would consider Chinese fast food. We ordered the VIP DUCK, which had no flavor and seemed VERY TENDER which is a sign that they used PROCESSED DUCK, which is ground up, compressed, then putting the skin back on. The lettuce wraps had nothing traditional with Chinese. The Shrimp with Lobster Sauce didn"t even come close to being the traditional MANDARIN DISH. What? vinegar at the table? what for? The only two dishes that were traditional and flavorful was the SHRIMP DUMPLINGS & the WONTON SOUP. P.F. Changs is also overpriced. Stick to China Town or your favorite local takeout.

  • Pros: decent wonton soup & Dumplings
  • Cons: non-traditional, low quality meats, overpriced
