awful food

Appetizers were unexceptional. Glass of $12 wine was sour. But the $32 halibut entree tasted like reconstituted fiberboard - dry, tough, crumbly and flavorless, nothing like what fresh fish tastes like. My wife's striped bass was seriously overcooked. We returned both; the second bass was edible but ordinary, but the second halibut was no different than the first. A spoiled dinner experience.
Our impression was that this is a tourist trap - we went based on the recommendation of hotel's concierge and the fact that it takes a couple hours to get a table.
- Pros: friendly waiter
- Cons: inedible, bad fish

Absolutely wonderful melt-in-your-mouth fish.
Great attentive service, the waiter was constantly
refilling our water glasses for instance. My only
complaint is that the strawberry shortcake was
lousy. But it's the best fish I've ever had, at a
very reasonable price.
- Pros: Fantastic seafood and service
- Cons: Strawberry shortcake
