Cult. Cult. Cult. Sure, you could go see what TIME Magazine calls "A thriving Cult of Greed and Power" (Google it) or you could save yourself the time and energy of being relentlessly harassed by a greedy, litigious, and secretive cult. Only in the United States, Britain, and Australia is the Church of Scientology viewed as a religion every other country it is considered and taxed as a for-profit enterprise. What other religion charges its members to learn more about their faith? What other religion even has the gaul to put a price tag on salvation? And of course: don't fall for all their re-branding efforts to recruit people into their cult-like CCHR (Citizen's Commission on Human Rights), Sterling Management, and others.
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Murderous, lying, litigious, harassing, isolating members from their families, charges money to learn more about their religion, lies about Psychiatry and Psychology.

The Boston Church is not full of famous faces we have come to think of when Scientology is mentioned but I found it to be full of sincere people who care about Human Rights, Anti-Drug Abuse, Crime and people. They have a vast bookstore of Mr. Hubbard's Basics Books and lectures and truthfully I have found them very useful and less expensive than College textbooks. I have attended free lectures, Sunday Service and even an open mike night and had a great time!
Pros: Sincere people
Cons: parking
