Fantastic, excellent, perfect. Fantastic staff ! The best. Crackling fresh oysters, and the best caesar salad. Best Steak au Poivre avaible. Unbelievably good.Filet Mignon melts in your mouth. Everything, prepared excellently.

One of the best dining experiences you'll have. There are other good steakhouses, but the Capital Grille delivers on every count, from service, to food, and decor.I was so impressed I wrote to the executive offices, and recieved an e-mail back within 24 hours thanking me for my compliments and business.

Again...great service. Thank you. Wonderful experience and highly reccomended.

cougars a la bar. The Capital Grille bar has been a known Cougar-hangout since I was a tike. Always older women with their compacts pushing skin back and fixing eyeliner. It isn't always a nice cougar hangout for the upscale hip cougars. It is far more bland. The rumor has actually always been tat some of these ladies are escorts waiting to meet men or with otherwise. Rumors I say!

In contrast, the food there is top notch for the city and the restaurant is just a great place to have dinner and cool to kickback at your table, as long as you aren't at the bar. This bar is very popular among a certain species so who am I to say no

GROSS & EXPENSIVE! NOT WORTH THE TRIP!. I had the worst meal of my life at the Capital Grille. First, let me say that the menu consists of Steak, Steak, Steak, and more Steak. There is very little seafood, 1 chicken dish, and 1 lamb dish. No pasta, whatsoever. I ordered the grilled swordfish, and it was terrible. My husband (who eats everything) even said it was disgusting and didn't want it. I couldn't even get my dog to try it when I brought it home. The appetizers are OK (we had the smoked salmon platter, though the salmon was more raw than smoked, but whatever.) We had reservations for valentines day, and they sat us at the smallest table you can imagine (about the size of a small end-table) and we were crammed into a room well past the fire code. The wine list was extensive, but they charged $54 for a bottle of wine that I have since picked up at the liquor store for $12 -- not on sale. Since I had to rate it one star at the least, I'm going to say that one star is for the $8 onion rings. Both my husband and my dinners were overcooked. (he asked for medium, he got blackened. I had to use a knife to cut swordfish. Our server was neglectful, and the man serving the next table over ended up waiting on us most of the night. Basically, if you're near any other restaurant, I'd recommend you go there instead of the capital grille.

A serious, superb steakhouse attracts high rollers and local celebs to the foot of Newbury St.. The Scene
It's a bull market every night as countless business types carouse over expensive steaks and drinks. A stuffy, members-only atmosphere takes nothing away from the dining experience. The amazing wine list has won "Wine Spectator's" Award of Excellence. Service is truly exceptional, as waiters take pride in their efforts.

The Food
Traditional, filling steakhouse fare is impeccably presented to beef-lovers of all stripes. The dry-aged steaks, hand-cut daily, are good enough to make you forget there's a real world outside the restaurant. As the entrees are served a la carte, huge portions of excellent sides (mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, sauteed mushrooms) are a must. Fantastic seafood dishes are available, but steak's the star here, especially the steak au poivre, which comes drizzled in cognac sauce. Exceptional desserts include an unbelievably light cheesecake and a pistachio-covered key lime pie
