“This is a great place.”
“People are very friendly.”
Boston's preeminent science museum hosts exhibits & theater.. Straddling the border of Boston and Cambridge on a picturesque riverfront, the Museum of Science is a highly popular destination for locals and visitors alike, with permanent and traveling exhibits canvassing natural history, technology, astronomy and everything in between.
Great place for friends and/or family. You don't have to be a geek to love the Museum of Science! They have really neat exhibits to make learning of scientific stuff fun... my favorite is the bubble exhibit, where you can make bubbles in all sorts of shapes. There's a cute kids section, and a more advanced math-and-computer related section for the uber-smart. Unfortunately, it's a bit pricey - around $17 per person. I was a bit disappointed with the laser show - we bought the tickets online, got there, and found out that it was cancelled due to technological difficulties. D'oh!
A 180-degree screen makes seeing an Imax movie here an engulfing experience..
In Short
Do you like that feeling when a roller coaster seems about ready to pull off its tracks? You're in luck: The Museum of Science's Mugar Omni Theatre is Boston's largest venue for wide-format Imax movies. An intense digital sound system and comfy seats enrich the experience. You won't see big blockbuster hits here, but you still get plenty of bang for your buck. Expect enjoyable, educational flicks.
Boston Museum of Science. The last time I went, the museum was in a state of disrepair. It seemed like half of the exibits were broken or dirty. We never got a chance to see the movie we bought tickets for because it was cancelled.
Amazing. What a wonderful place to spend the day and then take in the Omni Theatre.... it's a wonderful experience and the children love it! The sights and sounds cannot be compared!
SO MUCH FUN. It is so much fun and educational. The Imax, the Planatariam, the laser shows, the exhibts and the Lightining making machine. WOW WHAT FUN!
AWSOME PLACE!. I went on a field trip to the Museum of Science and the theatere. once in 5th grade and once in 6th both were fun but 6th grade was the best one!
