They even take phone orders for out-of-towners!. I purchased two handbags recently (MZ Wallace Kate bags) by phone and the staff was incredibly helpful and very sweet. They took care of all my questions, made the whole process so painless that my wallet is running to hide in case of future splurges, and had the first bag out the same day. I ordered the first bag on a Tuesday, had the bag on Thursday by UPS, boxed and protected with a little freebie or two in there as well. I will absolutely purchase from them again...in fact, the second bag was purchased the next day as a gift because the first time worked out so very well. Thanks FOTH ladies! I LOVE my MZW Kate!

best birthday thanks to flat of the hill. this is the first time ive taken the time to review a place, i just had to! i got a gift certificate for xmas, and went in on my birthday to spend it. i had a blast, and i LOVE everything i got. the girls were great and werent typical "sales people", they actually talked me out of buying some items that i wasnt totally in love with! i hate stores that attack you and say anything to sell something! i will always go here first when looking for something. they gave out cute valentines coupons that are too cute and NEVER EXPIRE, who does that! thank you girls, see you on facebook!

best gift shop in boston. i really enjoy shopping here. i always find something, so i normally head straight here first (just not on mondays-they are closed on mondays- forgot that twice). i shop on my days off and always try to hit new stores, but more often than not, i find myself walking straight down charles street and turn in at the dog! i reward myself from my walk with a little something, its fun! thank you for always being there for me (and thank you for all the times you offer me water and a refuse, i will accept from now on, i dont want to be rude!)

Terrible customer service. I live overseas and so asked my husband to buy me Child Perfume Shower Gel from Flat of the Hill when he was in Boston on a business trip. Not knowing anything about beauty products, my husband bought and brought me home this $40 shower gel without testing it. When I used it the next day, the gel had separated and was very runny - more liquid than gel. It still smelled all right but the texture was really off, as if the product had gone over.

I emailed Flat of the Hill about this and even offered to return my bottle from overseas so they could check the quality, but it's been a week and I have not received a single response or acknowledgment from them. What a crime - to sell these luxury products past their sell-by dates, and then when a customer who's paid the luxury price complains, to not even address the complaint! I'm sorry but no matter how "cute" or "covetable" Flat of the Hill's merchandise may be, there's nothing cute about their customer service, which is non-existent. Let the buyer beware. I will never purchase anything from this place again.

great shop. not sure what people want to read, but this is the type of store you have to just go to in order to understand. I can not remember a time going there where i did not buy something- honestly!

great street to wander up and down as well, but dont miss this shop in your travels.

so much fun. so packed with things that i love its hard to walk by on my way home from work. This store has by far the best jewelry i have found anywhere, as well as handbags.

It weird that i can buy myself a "must have" handbag and then find something for my mother at the same time (which is a miracle if you knew us)- and the store is so small.

love it, hope it never changes.

charles street. love this store so much that it has made me a huge fan of charles street. I think shops like this one and other on the street are what makes a city great. Happy i moved to boston, and happy i stumbled on "flat of the hill".
