Extremely disappointing experience.. I bought a beautiful and comfortable pair of soft, leather, brown and green driving moccasins for a trip I am taking to Italy. On that day (3/10/10), I encountered two very nice gentlemen and purchased the shoes for $159. 00.

Yesterday (4/14/10), with shoes in hand, and a HOLE in one of the shoes, I returned to the Charles St. store. I had been wearing the pretty shoes on some weekends and sometimes to and from work (where I change into other shoes since I work in an operating room). I did not wear these shoes exclusively.

Unfortunately , the person at the store Wednesday said there was nothing he could do since the wear was on the toe, not on a seam!!!!!! I have worn shoes for DECADES and never have I had a hole in my shoe with one month of intermittent wear.

I am disappointed in the shoe, and the lack of any attempt by the clerk at the store to rectify the problem. I will not buy any more shoes at the store, and I will share my story.

I have referred many of my friends to shop there and they always leave happy!! In my opinion- Nahas is the best shoe store around.

The customer is never right. I spent 89$ on a pair of shoes at this store. The salesman asked me if I wanted the box or not as I was paying. I said no- why carry it, seeing as he was offering to take it?

I had the shoes for a week and nver wore them- they just weren't "me". I had let the guy talk me into buying them. I still had the receipt which said "store credit only" on it, so i figured I was out the 89$ but I could probably find another pair of shoes there I would like.

When I went to exchange them I was told by the same guy who sold them to me that I couldn't return them because I didn't have the original box. I wasn't given a good reason why. They must have tons of shoe boxes around there! I was just told that I "should have known" I would need the box. And that no place would take things back without the original packaging. So, not only was I out the 89$, I was insulted to boot. (Pun not intended!)

I once saw a clerk at Pottery Barn let somebody return a 5 year old used desk because the guy still ahd the receipt.

Now that is customer service. No wonder Nahas has...two stores? And Pottery Barn has hundreds!!
