The Scene – Sitting at the very beginning of Hanover Street, Mother Anna's has been an easy-to-find favorite among locals and tourists for seven decades. While the dining room's view of the city has been obstructed by the Big Dig, the rest of the seating areas remain comfortable, with exposed brick and candles adding a relaxed vibe. this is my favorite restaurant. when ever im home, i cant wait to eat there. im the type of person that when i travel, its all about the food...and this is as traditional as it comes. my first experience was with my family, its a very friendly and family type of atmosphere, but i noticed the waiter talking to the cook...he only spoke italian! good sign, plus, it felt like i was in my grandfathers kitchen. it only got better from there. the food was fantastic. the chicken marsala is my fav, but the lobster ravioli, uh, need i say more?!? I go to Mother Anna's several times a year. Food is excellent, IF you go with a bunch of people call ahead you can order family style. We had Chick Parm, eggplant, soups, antipasto........
The service is excellent. The wait staffs timing is perfect. They come over and check on you at the right time. I highly recommed this great italian food.
