Don't talk till you taste it-. I can't believe people writing negative stuff on here about another restraunt (Italian Express) that shows little class on your part. I would suggest you try it before you write comments about it, and as for it being in Eastie it is not a slum area I have been here all my life and until you live here ,eat here keep your negative comments to yourself. I wouldn't write on about Terramia since I never ate there.

Fantastic!. Cozy space with friendly, knowledgeable servers. Salads were sauced excellently. Halibut special was cooked to perfection. Ravioli was to die for. Will return soon. Highly recommended.

With its exciting, modern Italian menu, one of the North End's smallest restaurants delivers large culinary rewards.. The Scene
With only about a dozen tables, this popular Salem Street restaurant guarantees an intimate atmosphere, especially on weekends, when the place is packed and harried waiters struggle to recite the nightly specials over the noisy crowd. Still, gourmands and well-informed tourists put up with the prohibitive noise levels and cramped seating arrangements in order to enjoy some of the North End's most adventurous dining. With its soft lighting, stucco walls and beamed ceilings, the dining room sports a slightly rustic vibe.

The Food
Chicken parm wishes and lasagna dreams are thwarted by Terramia's far-reaching, modern Italian menu--nowhere else in the neighborhood can diners enjoy an order of sweet lobster fritters with a tangy balsamic-honey glaze. The ever-changing menu incorporates seasonal vegetables and the catch of the day. Homemade pasta dishes feature unconventional preparation styles--ravioli is served open-faced, with scallops, shrimp and zucchini, in a lobster mascarpone sauce.

quaint and delicious. I had never eaten great Italian food until I visited the North End. Since my visit to Boston was brief, I decided on Terramia because of the many good reviews. The restaurant is set away from busy Hanover. It's actually larger than what the facade would imply. The interior is softly lit by candles and the seating is slightly cramped, which didn't represent a problem until people rose. Everyone in the restaurant seemed engaged in vibrant conversation and to be enjoying their dinners.

I thoroughly enjoyed my lobster risotto, which was cooked well and contained much more lobster than I expected. My girlfriend loved her duck and artichoke ravioli. The glasses of house wine cost on the higher side, but are still reasonable. The absence of dessert and coffee isn't a problem since there are stores that serve both near Terramia. The service is adequate and unobtrusive, although a bit on the slower side. The restaurant was bustling early in the week and later in the evening, so I assume that reservations are a good idea.

One of the Best Italian Ever !. I tried Terramia at 98 Salem St, North End. The food was great (I had a salmon special and lobster fritters and my partner had the veal chop), the ambience was warm and cozy, and there was a decent selection of wines. Service was very attentive also.

Thank you and I'll be back !

molto bellisimo. What a wonderful place, tucked away on this little sidestreet in the heart of the north end. The food and ambience were tremendous with a friendly atmosphere and servers that pay attention to your every need. They smile and make conversation without that pretentious stuffiness you would find uptown. Truly a wonderful experience.
