Service was bad!. waiter just not interested in customers. Food was good, but everybody in my party who ate Calamari was sick in under an hour. Could not get water, was not told credit cards not accepted (wasn't posted either), and had to request check 3 times. Wish we had had similar experience as others who wrote a review.

Excellent homy restaurant. I went to the North End for the St Anthony Feast. After walking around, I decided to try this little cute restaurant. The food and the service was excellent. I did have the Ravioli with mushrooms and chicken in a white sauce.....Delicious!!..

My cousin's food was also excellent.

Great experience dining with family. We had family in town and were in the North End, so we headed over to Il Villaggio. It was a great experience. They immediately put a table together for us and began helping us with our questions. The food was excellent and the wine recommendations were right on (and very reasonable). The decor was very nice the place is spotless. The husband and wife owners seem to take a lot of pride in this restaurant.

Excellent Food!. This place is great! The food is not only delicious, but is also veryyy well priced. I think that they recently remodeled and it looks great. I ordered bruchetta and the ziti and they were very accomodating and added the sauce that I asked for... Everything tastes fresh and there you don't wait forever for your food! Everything comes out perfect!

I recommend all my friends to this restaurant. It's my favorite place in the city!

ITALIAN RESTAURANT W. NO BREAD...POOR SERVICE AND LACK OF CARE. NO BREAD AT AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN NORTH END AT IT'S PEAK TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!PURE LAZINESS! I love dinning...If I am taking the time to write this it's because I believe it's vital to the reader! We wanted to celebrate a friends birthday Lucca which we love was quite busy, we were starving so went to Ill Villagio....Small, cozy, restaurant with dim lights. The menu appeared interesting and not too expensive.

We sat down with no silver ware no menus for about 20 minutes. The music in the back ground was the theme songs to 80's Olympic as when running to the finish line...but that was the least our issues. There were about 4 occupied tables so it wasn't hectic at 7:45 pm on a Tuesday evening.

We were finally greeted by our waiter who appeared more preoccupied w. sitting down with his friends and drinking his wine....

We ordered drinks and an appetizer of calamari. Our waiter informed us that there was no bread....OK, no bread. It's not even 8:00 pm in the NORTH END. Little Italy. We got our calamari in a lovely plum garlic, plum tomato sauce but NO BREAD TO DIP it...We talked to the waiter, as previous servers, and bartenders we mentioned why not get bread from friendly neighbors at Lucca or Bricco or just go to go BOBA's bakery which is open to late at night.....No it's too far of a walk he said. and "we are short staffed"....ALL the staff was standing around because it was dead...Many customers were informed about "86" bread, (NO BREAD) and decided to go elsewhere and so...after pretending that our appetizer was a soup since we could not soak a yummy piece of bread in it, we finished our wine...parted ways with ILL VILLAGGIO and promised never to return! We dined at Monica's which was fabulous! But lesson learned.....These was clearly, lack of commitment to customer satisfaction, little care to the pride of a restaurant...The waiter appeared to have little concern but where is the owner? Manager....BAD EXPERIENCE!
