“By the way , I have never had a bad meal in Boston to date.”

“Mike's Pastry Incorporated is a great place.”
“If this is the only thing you eat in Boston, you did yourself a great service.”
“Lines are always huge, but you would be surprised how fast they move.”
“So we were in line for about 10 minutes and finally got to order our share of pastry.”
awesome!!!.
this is the best pastry place I have ever been too!!!!!!
the service is great and the prices are a little high, but totally worth it. Live in the area, come almost daily!
Best Dessert but Unfriendly Staff (Rude). yes, they probably have the Best dessert in town/ Boston, but if you want to sacrifice service in exchange for staff rudeness- i suggest you visit this place last because it might ruin your vacation or trip to Boston. I prefer to have good food and friendly service when I am traveling. ( service doesn't have to be great just friendly )
Long lines here are worth it!. When going to Mike's, you will notice that there is an abundant lack of seating and the lines are long, but the variety and quality of the baked goods here is most definitely worth the wait! One night, after a horrible dinner, I went down the street to get a nice dessert and was not disappointed. I got a butter cookie, a cupcake, and a smile in return for a dollar. Grazie!
I was a closet cannoli fan and now I'm out of the closet. I was not aware that I'm a cannoli fan until I had Mike's cannoli. I'm a firm believer that you MUST try the "IT" item that made the food establishment famous. In this case, Mike's is famous for cannoli. I only bought 1 cannoli to-go and now I can't wait to go back and try other cannolis. The tiramisu was average and the rum cake was really bad. Stick with the cannoli and you'll be happy!
I didn't think I liked cannoli.... ...but after trying the ones at Mike's - I know I like cannoli! Everyone says, "you have to go to Mike's." And I agree. If I were staying closer or if it were easier to get these things on the plane, I would have purchased more that just cannoli. Crazy, busy, fun atmosphere, good pastry at the right price! I just might have to check out the website and order some there. Seriously - when someone says, "you have to go Mike's!" They mean it! If only Iived closer....
Great Pastry - Not for the Faint of Heart. I just have to say I love Mikes. I love the chaos and the atmosphere, their pastries are amazing! How many places can you get a cannoli dipped in dark chocolate, with chocolate chips on the end? If you want to sit and enjoy an espresso, just grab a table, they have table service. I have always found the people to be friendly, a smile and a Thank You goes a long way. It isn?t a place for people, who are indecisive, because typically even if the dining area is empty there is a line for the counter, but it moves quickly and when you get to the front you better know what you want or you miss your chance. If you want to hum and haw over all of their delectable goodies, which line half of the store, go at an off hour during the weekday. Or just look at their website, they have all the favorites, which is everything, listed with color photos.
World Class Desserts. I have traveled all over the world and the Tiramisu and lobster tails are better than anything that I have ever come across. The chocolate chip cannolis are just a rare treat. A must try if you are in Boston above and beyond everything else. If this is the only thing you eat in Boston, you did yourself a great service. Just a delight for the senses.
tourist trap. the service is horrible, the dessert is even worse. they have the worse tasting cannolis that I ever tasted. The people that make this place popular are out of towners that dont know any better.
Great Cannolli - but avoid Friday/Saturday Nights. One of the better cannolli's I have had outside of Italy. Tried other bakery items and all were great with the exception of one (cupcake too sweet!) It is average in cost if you are coming from the Midwest but well worth the $$. Crowds were unreal on Friday and Saturday nights! Go early if you want a treat for later.
Tourist Destination. Yes, there are a LOT of choices of pastries, pies, cookies, desserts, everything you can imagine in this place. However, I found that some of the other reviews had it right about the experience...what's with this shove your way in front of the line? My partner and I were standing at the counter alone when about 15 people came in off the street...we ended up being almost the last people served. The quality of the food was good for some items, not as great for others. Honestly, not the best cannolis I've ever had. I wouldn't say to avoid the place, just don't expect to be blown away either.
