Only place I found that . . .. I needed to get Godiva Chocolates nothing else would do and I knew that they used to have them at Macy's but it had been many years since i had gotten any. The location within the store had moved and it took asking 4 people and going to 4 places in the store until someone knew where it was but they hads it and I was saved!

Sales Manager for Men's Clothing Needs Training. I saw some Tommy Hilfiger polo shirts on a display with a price of 29.99 so I picked one up and went over to the register and the clerk rang it up and said 49.99. I said no the sign says 29.99---he said but not this shirt. I said I got it off that table and it was not the only one there. He implied that I must have put it there. I told him (Richard) that there were others over there. He went to the table and did find another one just like it. He said sorry its 49.99. I asked to see the department manager. He said he called her and that she was busy. I waited 10 minutes and she finally showed up. She was Natalia, Sales Mgr. for Men's Clothing. I told her there was another one just like it on the table and that Richard took it off and put it someplace. She asked him and he did admit it. I got no satisfaction from her at all. After arguing with her for some time she finally relented and said OK 29.99 but you can't get the extra 15% off by using my Macy's Charge Card. I did not put it on my Macy's card and I doubt if I will be using it again in the future. She needs some training on dealing with customers. She said well someone must have put them on the wrong table. I said thats not my fault. You have 2 men standing at the register doing nothing, why doesn't one of them check the tables to make sure that all the items on it are the sale items. She said they are very busy. While I was there I was the only customer.

From a "Miracle on 34th Street" to malls in the 'burbs, this is middle-class America's own department store.. The Scene
In 1857, R.H. Macy opened his eponymous dry goods store in New York City. The tally of his first day's receipts: $11.06. These days, under the aegis of Federated Department stores, Macy's anchors malls coast to coast, tallying millions in yearly sales.

The Goods
Macy's is every shopper's department store, located along the retail spectrum between Sears and Nordstrom. Crowded displays boast second-tier labels: Lauren and Polo by Ralph Lauren, Reaction by Kenneth Cole, Allen by ABS. The shoe department features many upscale selections: Via Spiga, DKNY and Martinez Valero for the ladies and Cole Haan, Skechers and basic Bass loafers for the fellas. Otherwise, rely on staples: Wamsutta sheets, Royal Velvet towels, Clinique cosmetics, Gold-Toe socks and Carter's for kids.

I like Macy's Boston. I go after work around 7 or 8 and love how there is never anyone there. I just hate shopping with tons of people and people hitting me with their bags. Macy's has my favorite brands, DKNY, CK, Ralph Lauren and sometimes they have decent sales.

It's true there are never any salespeople around though. It's hard to find anyone to help you, but not having to deal with tons of other shoppers makes it worth it.

Will never return. The store is set up like a discount second hand store with clothes on the floor and other signs of utter chaos. The customer service is non existent. I asked for a price check on something and she said that wasnt her department even though she was the only sales girl on the floor. I know she could have scanned the item. When trying on clothes, I had to wait 15 minutes outside the dressing room even though no one was in it. THE RUDEST SALESWOMAN gave no explanation. This is why bostonians get a bad name!
