In Short – Housed in the former home of Le Meridien, the Langham offers the same luxury sleeping quarters and high level of service that earned its predecessor national acclaim. Located across from Post Office Square, the hotel enjoys a convenient, centrally located location for the business types and tourists that fill most of the 326 guest rooms. Hungry guests enjoy all three meals at Cafe Fleuri, where a lively Sunday jazz brunch attracts guests from all over the city.
Not the 'Best Brunch' eva!
by EllenC08 at Citysearch
We went here after reading this was the 'Best Brunch in the City and well known for the chocolate'. Brunch had a well enough variety and the chocolates were very good although limited, much to our disappointment! One of the older guests had no etiquette and used his fingers on the Sushi which grossqued me out. We had 2 bottles of champagne and had to keep requesting orange juice to make our own Mimosa's. At $55 plus a head, I would rather they put out orange juice on the buffet to help ourselves rather than try and flag a waiter down for OJ! The check was put down on the table 3 different times by 3 different waiters making it confusing who was waiting on us, and making us feel 'rushed'. I have had better brunch and service at the Four Seasons. Langham waitstaff could use a few lessons on service from them as well. Cafe Fleuri was a little noisy and not much ambience, but again adquate, not 4 star.
- Pros: Truffles were to 'die' for
- Cons: Practically kicked us out....
Phenomenal
by scottieb3 at Citysearch
Booked through hotwire for a ridiculously low rate. They upgraded me to a king upon arrival, the room was fine, fairly standard though a bit nicer. Good bed, spacious, well filled bathroom. The TV was a little underwhelming, but the radio with iPod hookup was a nice touch. The robes and slippers were nice and the staff very courteous. I took full advantage of the facilities, using the all-new weight room in the evening and then walked a bit on a treadmill equipped with touchscreen controls and a built in TV. The gym also offered running routes, though none were more than 4 miles, so I made my own into south Boston and then stretched in the park adjacent to the hotel, a cute, quiet area. The showers, sauna, indoor lap pool, and jacuzzi were all amazing and definitely a higher level of class than I'm used to in my travels. Would I stay here again? Definitely at hotwire rates, and probably at normal rates too.
Just like Europe
by Polyglott7777 at Citysearch
I stayed at le Meridien hotels while I lived in Europe and was curious to come here. Despite my bad cold, I had a wonderful time here. Received a room upgrade and resided in a large room with a tremendous view and a gigantic bed. I relied heavily on room service, which was a Godsend. The staff is multi-lingual, so I got to practice foreign languages while staying there. I can't wait to go back when I'm not sniffling!
- Pros: excellent staff, great room service, good location
