Editorial Review for The Times Irish Pub and Restaurant – by Leah Gourley
The Scene
The laid-back atmosphere in this cozy, dimly-lit watering hole attracts all types, from Downtown suits to construction workers from the nearby Big Dig. Deep red walls are adorned with vintage alcohol advertisements that compete for space with dartboards and big-screen TVs. The horseshoe-shaped bar is home to a friendly and knowledgeable staff, most of whom are eager to advise when it comes to the vast selection of Scotches or dozen brews on tap.
The Draw
A heavy lunch crowd enjoys the kitchen's award-winning clam chowder and a selection of sandwiches, like the steak and cheese (a pleasing mound of sirloin and Swiss, served on a baguette). Competition at the dartboards in the back heats up nightly, but the action occurs on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights, when DJs spin the latest pop and hip-hop hits. During summer months, pop-star wannabes convene for karaoke on Wednesday and Sunday nights.

well we frequent this area on the weekends, have enjoyed stopping in at the Times for a drink or two. I'm one of those types that enjoys the pubs as well as the club scene places, so sometimes this is a good break from loud music at clubs in the area. Only ate there once, no complaints. I'm not a fan of cover charges at pubs though so...wouldnt pay for it.

Simple menu but good grub, many beers with a staff that's happy to serve them to you. Fun casual crowd. Lots of open space to mingle without standing on top of someone's chair.
Pros: Open feeling, Beers
