Great for Company Partys. From Henias Salon and Day Spa, (across the street), we had a company party at Joes. It was fun, servers were great, and we just enjoyed the drinks and food!

Thanks for being a great neighbor!

I May As Well Work Here.... Well. Let's just be honest with each other here, shall we?

My boyfriend works here. He rocks the American flag tie and monkey suit 6 days a week and slings all you people drinks and chow-da. He occasionally works like 14-hour days on a hot deck and gets borderline abused by foreign patrons. But for the most part, he gets you your food and drinks in a timely manner and deserves a good tip, god dammit.

Regardless of my somewhat personal relationship to this place--I must tell you; it's consistently good. And though the staff has turned into some of my closest friends by proxy, I can also vouch for most of them: They are friendly, hilarious and good looking (otherwise, I wouldn't associate with them).

The food is your typical American fare. If you've never been to a Joe's before, you must have not been in Mass for too long. It's standard, but always pretty delicious.

If you're going to go to Joe's waterfront...go when it's nice out, expect to wait to sit outside, and strongly consider going early for brunch. Their brunch menu is typical--but well done. And a free mimosa or Bloody with your meal? Sold. We don't get many-a-drink-special in these here parts.

Speaking of drinks--sangria is to die for.

Oh and if you have a server that goes by Matt, tip him well please. You may be inadvertently buying me some flowers (or more likely--a drink).

Good food, service and prices. After trying another restaurant close by and not really liking it much we looked around and found Joe's. Tried it the next day and it was great. Fantastic chili and cheap. Good fish and chips, good service. What more could we ask for.

Try it, I doubt you will be disappointed. Served by Malik last night. Wonderful experience. Super friendly hosts, and servers. Fast service. The steak just melted in my mouth, perfect savory taste. The potatoes are great. Brussel sprouts could have been cooked a bit more, but not bad. THE BREAD IS SUPER! Artisan quality, you get your own little loaf. Ours was hot out of the oven. Wow, I respect a restaurant based on this one thing - their bread. If they know bread, they know food. My wife had the hand cut fries. Delicious! This is our 2nd time. 1st time the drinks were perfect. Last night not quite as good. But, I'm reasonable. If almost everything is perfect - then you deserve 5 stars. We will definitely be going back. Prices reasonable. Atmosphere at this location is super outstanding. I doubt there is a bad table in the house. Please give it a try, I really doubt you will be disappointed.

Shocked by Rude Service. We requested a table outside, but the deck was full, so we asked for a table near the window to enjoy the view. Drinks arrived quickly, but the service fell after that. Our server pigeonholed us as a table of guys who wouldn't complain about unconcerned inattentive service. He never took off his sunglasses - inside. After dropping butter into one person's lap, he swore and then laughed about it. We asked for more bread he forgot, and we had to wait 20 minutes in the empty dining room to remind him when he finally checked on us again. Steak sandwiches, ordered medium-rare, all came out well done, three complete with the onion rings we expected, and one without them. Our server did not check on us until halfway through our meal. We saw him drinking soda in the bar and chatting with staff on the patio instead. The check arrived, not separated as requested, so we wrote out totals for each card. When he returned with them, he dropped one ticket book onto the table with one pen for all 5 checks. When we added up the totals, he had OVER-charged us by $21! Our server was MIA, but when we asked for a manager, our server appeared instead. When I told him we were unhappy about the service and being overcharged, he got angry and started arguing back. He listed off things he thought he had done well and tried to justify his "mistake in math". He actually said "I got your drinks on time, your food was good, now you're gonna drop all this on me?!" We were speechless. When I began listing our complaints, HE WALKED AWAY while I was talking! Still no apology. A manager finally came over and was very apologetic and polite, but told us the server was a "veteran", a good guy. He removed the extra $21 charge and took 1 clam chowder and 1 beer off our tab. None of us will ever go back again. While the manager was polite, our server's rudeness was shocking, Don't let the white linen tablecloths fool you, you will get better service in a grade-shool cafeteria.

Popular local chain provides families and tourists with all-American eats in congenial surroundings.. In Short
With its affordable, straightforward menu of familiar favorites, Joe's is a magnet for tourists and suburban families in need of a break from sightseeing. The interior features lots of wood and an abundance of red, white and blue paraphernalia. All-American fare (steaks and chops, crispy crab cakes, juicy burgers) makes up most of the menu. Popular items also include comfort fare like chicken pot pie and meatloaf, as well as fresh seafood dishes.

Best Burgers in Boston. I had been going to Joe's all summer because of the GREAT location. This place has the best burgers in town and a great beer selection. During the winter, the patio is closed, but the inside seems to get even better. The specials are out of this world. I had a swordfish provencal, at my waiter's recommendation, with beautiful acorn squash. I would never expect food like this to come out of Joe's. A week later, I recieved a thank you card from my waiter. A PERSONALIZED NOTE FROM A RESTAURANT !!! In Boston! That just blew me away. The waitstaff is always knowledgable and attentive, but I have no idea why they wear kitschy american flag ties. One of the best places to eat in the summer, but well worth it all year-round. (if only for the complimentary hot chocolate shots served at the end of every meal)

Slightly Dissapointed. Having lived in/around the Boston area for quite some time, I was curious to try this restaurant out for a dinner out with some colleagues. The location is prime, and we got seated promptly. Also, we were able to get a table which overlooked the waterfront outdoors upon request. Mind you this was all on a Friday night as well. However the service was horrible. The waitress took 10 minutes to bring out our beverages, and she wasnt personable at all. The food we ordered was what you would expect at a casual dining restaurant such as Joe's. I ended up splitting a pizza with my friend, and much to my surprise the pizza was good. Overall the restaurant is nothing to moon over.

Consistent Poor Service. Althought the Joe's at the waterfront near the North End/Aquarium area has a great location, it's quite a poor place. We were told the wait for a table would be less than 15 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes asking 4 seperate times when our table was ready, it took almost an hour to seat us. What a joke.

Once we sat down at a table near the loud, clanking kitchen and got past the clutter of rude wait staff that shoved past us one by one, we had a mediocre dinner that was overpriced and had little taste.

Steer clear of Joe's - between the lack of quality food, priced as if it was, loud messy room, the weak waitstaff, and the extremely long wait - Joe's has nothing to offer.
