Great wine store w/ friendly and informative weekly tastings. The best way to choose wine to buy is to taste it first. Federal's weekly tastings are a great place to do that and to learn more about wine in general.

Outstanding Whisky selection. I cannot recommend this place highly enough to lovers of single malt whisky and/or irish whiskey (I cannot comment on their wine selection because I was too stunned by, and preoccupied with, the whisky range!). The service was ludicrously knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic. I was enquiring about the most obscure whiskys I know (including some from defunct distilleries), yet they had it all. The prices are not neccessarily at the cheap end. However, I'd have actually expected higher prices, given the generous service and the exclusive range. Apparently, they also host wine and whisky tasting nights every so often. I'll certainly be a frequent customer.

Great customer service. I highly recommend this store if you need help picking out a good bottle (or bottles) of wine. Ask for help, and you'll get it! They really know their stuff here and are eager to spend time with you, explaining why certain wines are better than others, etc. You can also sign up for their wine newsletter and go to their tastings. A very knowledgeable staff. Oh and it may seem small, but there's another wine collection in the "cellar," so just head down the steps.
