In Short – Located in between the North End's touristy streets and the waterfront, this casual bar and grill is a favorite spot among locals in search of a filling, inexpensive meal. Freshly-made pizzas prove popular, and appetizers like fried calamari are perfect for sharing. When the Sox or Pats aren't on the TVs, patrons busy themselves by humming along to Top-40 tunes or people-watching out the front windows.

They rob clients - don't go

by BostonianLady

I went because I had a gift certificate, but at the end of the night they didn't accept it. The gift certificate was good for another 6 months, but they said they stopped accepting gift certificates 2 months ago! So I now am the proud owner of a receipt for far more than the food was worth and a gift certificate that is good for nowhere. Great way of doing business, bet they have a lot of happy customers returning for more burnt fish!

I advise you walk around the corner to one of the other 100 places in the north end!

  • Pros: location
  • Cons: bad business ethics, bad food

A once good bar gone to sh....

by santa_annas_leg

This place has become a mess. It was once the best option in the neighborhood, but it's become annoying just to enter the place. Where they once had Natalie (one of the best bartenders around) now they have a douchebag, semi-balding, hipster wannabe working there who's annoyed to have to serve you, and a waitresses who scream back in forth to each other, for hours, in their smoke-damaged voices about the mundane happenings in their life.

Were that only the problem, the fairly pleasing layout might be enough to compensate. However, their food so awful it is absurd. It'll run you nine bucks to get a semi-frozen spinach and artichoke dip with stale tortilla chips. At least they put a leaf of iceberg lettuce under the serving bowl, that totally makes up for the terrible food itself.

In the final insult, they play the worst music in the city. Now, I don't go to a pub looking for good background music. But the stuff they put on the radio is so ridiculous it can't be ignored. If you have more than one pint there, expect to here 'Barracuda' at least once.

  • Pros: Lot of TVs
  • Cons: Service, ambiance
