HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! THIEVES!!!
1) When we asked for a stronger green tea because ours tasted like water, she said that is the tea and no one else has complained. She said we can order a pot of green tea for more money.
2) Miso soup came out AFTER my meal and only because I asked where it was.
3) We asked for more ginger and for spicy mayo on the side and they charged us for it but never told us it was going to be extra. When we asked why they didn't inform us that it was extra, they said that we should know and that every restaurant charges extra (bull!!) We asked them to take it off the menu and they said no way. My husband said he didn't want to pay for it because of the principle of it all. They said they were going to call 9-1-1...BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
This restaurant was great, a hidden gem!! On a Saturday night, there was only 2 other tables occupied and the sushi bar was hoppin'.
You get plenty of food for your money and the service is so welcoming.
Not fresh. The sushi wasn't fresh, the tuna tasted fishy and made me feel sick. For sushi, that is a complete deal breaker!! I'll never go back. This is not good sushi.
Terrible Wait, Service, and Food.
I got takeout, ordering the Sushi Lunch, on a Wednesday afternoon. I waited FORTY-FIVE minutes for takeout!!
The cashier said the sushi will be here every five minutes or so, but then she never actually went to check on it. I finally spoke up politely asking where my sushi is after 30 minutes, but after that she kept avoiding me, knowing that it was taking so long. Very inefficient service.
After the long wait, I expected the sushi to be ok. Unfortunately, I got WARM HOT and SOGGY Fish, instead of the fresh cool ones that I am used to eating.
I am a huge sushi fan, but NEVER will I come to this hole-in-the-wall every again.
good and quick in Financial District. Pretty good for the only sushi restaurant in the FD. Lines are really long at lunch, but if you go late morning/early afternoon it's pretty quick and the food tastes fresh. Good selection and not bad price.
Best Sushi Around!. This place has the BEST sushi around! It gets pretty busy in there during lunch with the financial district crowd. I have been there a handful of times and have had consistent service and great food every time. If you like sushi you will love this place!
Sushi is average at best. I have been to Sakura-Bana several times and not once have I been impressed. It really is the only place to get sushi for people working in the financial district, and that is the only reason I go back. I recently tried Ginza in China town, and for those of you who can make it over there for lunch, I recommend doing so. The fish is much fresher and for about the same price.
Sakurabana is Spectacular. This sushi place is the best I've tried so far. There's so much variety to choose from the menu. They've got great service. The line up can be long at times but it's quick. The staff is really friendly and accomodating. They always greet you with a pleasant smile. It's one of the best places in Boston. They even offer takeout and delivery. Sakurabana will always be a great choice.
A favorite sushi spot in Boston.. I have eaten at many of the sushi restaurants Boston has to offer and after 5 years I still find myself heading back to Sakurabana. The diverse list of sushi/sashimi is always fresh and servings are generous. The creative styles of maki offered are plenty. It's rather busy at lunch, but usually worth the wait. The waitstaff is very friendly and helpful. I don't drink much, but my friends love the sake cocktails. Try going in the evening when you can avoid the crowd, relax more, enjoy the good food and even catch the Red Sox on the big screen TVs.
Best Sushi in town. I've been this restaurant for 2 years since I work around down town. Sushi-Sashimi is the best I ever had. Fatty tuna, blue-fin tuna, white tuna and salmon are very fresh. Bonito tuna sashimi..uhh..very yummy. This restaurant is always very busy and always has long line at lunch time. If you don't like to wait in line, you can try to check it out at dinner time. I have chances to be there for dinners on Friday nights. Dinner time is usually not so busy that I don't have to wait and I get friendly service. The price is reasonable too.
