What a great lunch!. My wife and I came down last Monday for lunch, having just stumbled upon the place while walking through Faneuil Hall. Boy am I glad I did! The restaurant is downstairs, and the colored lights on the ceiling and the Old West decor give ithe place a fun, casual feel. I had the cuban sandwich which was delicious!!! I don't know what kind of bread they use, but it was mucho bien! My wife had the dos enchiladas with beef, and she really enjoyed those as well. Our waiter (a tall guy--I think his name was Brian?) was super polite and got our food out to us a lightening speed! And the prices were very reasonable, especially considering that we were in Faneuil Hall. My wife and I will definately come again next time we can sneak off for lunch. Or heck, maybe we'll go there for dinner tonight!
Faneuil Hall Mexican restaurant caters to tourists in search of a casual, affordable meal..
In Short
A Quincy Market mainstay, Zuma's satisfies its touristy clientele by churning out sturdy Mexican-American comfort favorites. Tired parents numb the pain by downing fruity margaritas, while social couples split sizzling fajita platters. Overstuffed burritos and heaping plates of nachos prove popular. Other menu items include spinach enchiladas and shrimp quesadillas.
User review by theduke37. Passable Tex-Mex, no better or worse than you might make a home. The chips and salsa are actually pretty good. The restaurant is as nice as any bar, but it happens to be in the basement. Service was inattentive, but the food came fast once we ordered. You'll probably spend some time trying to flag your waiter down if you need anything. Prices are inexpensive for Fanueil Hall, but pretty expensive in comparison to better Tex-Mex or Mexican in other areas.
Don't miss:.
The chimichenga's were absolutely fantasic. Food was freshly prepared and nicely served. The owner, Cody, who is a gem, came to our table and asked our opinions of the food and service. He was truly interested in our dining experience.
Don't miss it.
