The Scene – Mr. Dooley's sports the same lived-in feeling as a favorite pair of beat-up shoes. Down to the floorboards, the pub shows its age, but the tattered vibe is comfortable rather than disturbing. Portraits of notable Irishmen (including Mr. Dooley) peer down from dark green walls, onto patrons crammed into tiny tables and high-backed wooden booths. A Great Place To Chill

by petergv at Citysearch

With good pub food, a relaxed and friendly vibe, and great waitstaff and bartenders Mr. Dooley's is a great place for an after-work pint, a chat with friends, or a late-nite bite.

A particular treat is traditional Irish seisiún, which is presently held from 4-7 on Sundays.

While the place can get crowded at times, and there's live music on weekends, this isn't a packed, noisy, "do you come here often", boozy kind of place -- Rather, it's more like an authentic local pub in Ireland.

Definitely recommended.
