The definitive shop for all things Irish..
The Scene
Celtic Weavers has a homey feel amid Faneuil Hall's big-name companies and vendor carts; it feels as if you've walked into a friend's living room. Shelves of sweaters and racks of wool cloaks line the store's walls.
The Goods
Irish goods, pure and simple--from lofty, warm hand-knit fisherman sweaters to Mohair wool blankets. Hanna Hats (handmade in Donegal) keep men looking dapper, while women can warm up in Donegal Design scarves. You can even cuddle with a wool teddy bear hand-stitched in Ireland. But Celtic Weavers doesn't just sell clothing, linens and the like: it's also a great spot to find claddagh rings, perfume and soap, Irish ballad books, tin whistles, Celtic pendants, shamrock earrings, Barry's Tea, Celtic bookmarks, rosary beads handmade in Ireland, CDs of Irish bands like the Wolfe Tones and Mary Black--and don't forget the wild sheep decoys.
