Career clothing with a casual, conservative flair.. In Short
Tailored but never trendy, this affordable chain has been keeping the closets of career gals and housewives stocked with good-quality, basic wardrobe-builders, shoes and accessories since 1954. Diligent shoppers can unearth some seasonal options with more of an edge too: suede wrap skirts, retro-print separates or clingy little black dresses. Frequent sales make these stores prime ops for college grads on the prowl for interview suits, weddings and first-job career-wear.

Ann Taylor - Stay Away from this store. As long-time Ann Taylor shoppers know, the quality of her clothing has gone down the toilet. I used to want everything I saw in Ann Taylor - now I don't want anything. Also, the store's policies have changed dramatically. The return policy was very flexible prior to 2001. After 2001 the policy became rigid and unfair. The clothing must be returned "untouched" in its original bag, unwrapped, etc. Extremely inflexible - AVOID. (Also - I think we are all pretty sick of the "new" security tag that is sewn into each garment....)

Fabulous. Ann Taylor clothing is the best quality I've seen yet. If I could afford to wear Ann Taylor every day, I would!

OLD!!. It's a store for older people, and I definitely would not call it one of the best in Boston.
