Tea Time – Built in 1729 as a Congregational church, Old South was the largest building in colonial Boston and often served as a town meeting site when events became too large for Faneuil Hall. One of the largest crowds showed up on Dec. 16, 1773. After exploding in outrage over the new British tax on tea, they proceeded to Boston Harbor, where they had a tea party of their own.
