“Yes the staff are friendly, unfortunately if something goes wrong you have to deal with the owner Richard.”
“The quality and value of the wedding offerings is outstanding.”
Both a Good and a Really Lousy Experience.
I first went to Horn at the suggestion of my father in law, who has bought quite a bit of jewelry at the store for his wife. The first time I was there, I mentioned my father in law by name and got
terrific service from a very nice saleswoman. I walked out with a wonderful pair of diamond earings at a good price.
The second time I went in was to shop for an anniversary ring, a gift from my husband. I did not mention my father in law this time, and was treated with disinterest and something that was close to disdain. I was dressed casually in jeans, so I figured they thought I had no money to spend. I tried again a third time, and it was clear that the salesman had zero interest in spending any time working with me.
I went down the street to Gann and had a terrific experience. I was treated with respect and courtesy and it was quite refreshing after Horn. I will never step in there again.…
High Class. They are what high class is all about. Nothing snooty here. Just excellent service and quality !
EB Horn beware of repairs. Yes the staff are friendly, unfortunately if something goes wrong you have to deal with the owner Richard. I left my Tiffany engagement ring have the setting checked after it became lose after a fall. The ring is a traditional knife edge signature tiffany setting. When I picked it up the knife edge had been polished down and the ring left very thin. I called to express my disappointment. I was not expecting a new ring or setting as my ring is a vintage heirloom. I was expecting an apology and a refund of the mere $40 repair fee. Instead, Richard the owner asked what was in it for him to apologize or give me a refund. I was very taken aback. He then made comments on my questionable behavior because after hearing that previous response I stated I would no longer patronize EB Horn. He made no attempt to fix the situation even after admitting that the band was over polished. He said I should have made a point of asking that setting design not be altered, yet I was just asking for the setting to be checked. I left in tears. Please to not risk repairs there, my ring is ruined.…
Not helpful. Not very helpful. My boyfriend and I went to this store twice to look for engagement rings. The first time our salesperson showed us a variety of settings and actually placed various diamond cuts in them. However, he did not bother to ask what clarity rating we wanted nor did he offer to explain the differences; this was unlike the other stores we visited in the diamond district. The second time we went back to compare and this time the same sales person just placed the settings down on the counter, without asking what cut I wanted to see in the setting, and left them there for me to try on while he talked to his coworkers about the Red Sox. Then he was so rude to ask my boyfriend when he was planning to purchase a ring, right in front of me! Well, they lost out on a few thousand dollars sale.…
EB Horn aims to please. I've had only fantastic service from this small customer-focused store. EB Horn offers full services during their hours of operation whereas other jewelers have only a small window of time for on-site repairs, cleaning, etc. Best of all, they do not charge for minor repairs and your jewelry stays in sight while they work.…
