Great value breakfast and lunch.
This is a great lunch place next to the State House--lines can be long, but they serve customers fast, and the food is worth it. Tasty sandwiches, pizza, and hot wraps fly off the prep counter like there's no tomorrow for busy downtown and State House workers. But the best thing about this place is breakfast--you can get bacon, egg and cheese with toast and home fries made for less than $4. They actually cook the eggs on the spot, which makes for a fresh hearty breakfast. Good deal if you want to grab something on the go.

Avoid at all costs... No pun intended.
I have been to the High Spot on a few occasions, and initially I would have given it an average rating... I have always thought it was grossly overpriced, but in a pinch the food was palatable enough to spend the extra cash... However the straw that broke the camels back was when the extrodinarily cheap management decided to cut back the already marginally sized portions even furthur... Initially I though it was a mistake, but after furthur review I noticed that one piece of chicken has been cut from every meal, and more rice or lettuce is added to create the illusion that portion sizes are larger than they actually are....
I personally will never spend one more dollar in this establishment ever again... It makes me ill to see the tremendously cheap ownership take advantage of loyal customers for a couple bucks.

Great cheap food.
High Spot is the perfect place for fast, inexpensive lunches. There are lots of options - from pizza and yummy sandwiches and wraps to pasta, eggplant, and salads. The assembly-line production means you see the sandwich fixins before they go onto your lunch, and they are always fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly if a bit brusque, and always gets you through the line quickly with a correct order. There are lots of vegetarian options to choose from, and the portions are generous.

Editorial Review.
Low-key Beacon Hill eatery satisfies State House workers with its inexpensive breakfast sandwiches and lunch platters.
