“There's nothing fancy about this place, but it's a good place to relax and have a couple of pitchers with your buds and maybe play some GOLDEN TEE.”
“Bad service killing a Good place”
“They've got comfy couches, $5 pitchers, adequate appetizers, and a number of special deals.”
Bad service killing a Good place.
I tried it once - terrible, I gave it a second chance months later - still awful. The Friday Waitress/Bartender is absolutely terrible. She appears to be there solely to hang out with her friends, and makes no secret how aggravated she is to have to serve anyone else. I patiently waited to order. She stopped mid sentence with her friend, shot me a look and yelled "What?" at me. I asked for a pitcher. She angrily stared at me while pouring it, then left it there for a few minutes while she finished talking to her friend. Came back and slammed it in front of me.
Incredible!
HONEY, YOUR A BARTENDER! IF YOU DONT LIKE POURING DRINKS GET ANOTHER JOB. YOUR GIVING THIS PLACE A BAD NAME
substandard customer service. I had the opportunity to visit this bar with a friend of mine for lunch last week. Not only were we completely ignored, my friend had to reach over the counter to get us a menu. We were completely ignored, by the waitress behind the counter. It took about 15 minutes for someone to come and take our order and that was after asking twice for service. We were the only people of color in the establishment which may have been the reason. As soon as two white gentlemen came in the same waitress who ignored us came from behind the counter to personally tend to them. We were blatently being ignored, other patrons were looking at us because I take it they couldn't believe what was happening either. I was totally uncomfortable and embarrassed and will never frequent the Side Bar again.
Cheap and Dependable. If you're looking for a good after work spot downtown, then look no further than the Side Bar. They've got comfy couches, $5 pitchers, adequate appetizers, and a number of special deals. Their staff is friendly, courteous, and one of the female bartenders is especially good looking. There's nothing fancy about this place, but it's a good place to relax and have a couple of pitchers with your buds and maybe play some GOLDEN TEE.
