Should not be Sony Authorized Dealer.
Any authorized USA reseller that puts hard to get cameras on EBay auctions without a reasonable buy it now price (everyone deserves to make a profit) is not a place I would give my business to.
The Sony Nex-7 camera on EBay should have been made available to their walk-in/internet customers at the msrp (plus a little) before being put on EBay. They should not be selling the camera for $3550, the msrp for the camera is $1199. Sony should take their authorized reseller status away.
If they were not an authorized dealer the sale would have been legitimate. A authorized dealer has an obligation to sell the companies product at a reasonable price. Not like a ripoff electronics store on 42nd street in NYC.
Excellent Customer service.
On Monday I needed to purchase a Birthday present for one of my children who wanted a digital camera. After spending hours on the web trying to determine what to purchase and getting totally confused, I decided after a recomendation by one of my co-workers to visit a small family owned shop near where I work.
I found the staff to be freindly, extremely patient, knowledgeable and above all they listened to my requirements.
They showed me a number of cameras fitting my needs and helped me pick one for my daughter. I cannot tell you how refreshing in this day of online shopping and so very little customer service that goes along with online shopping, how nice it was to have a local shop that were quite competitive guide me through this. FIVE STARS
No help at all....
I work a short walk from here, and wanted information on a couple of cameras. I was looking at purchasing an entry level D-SLR ($700-$800) and wanted to make an informed decision.
When I walked into this place, the only info I got was from a brochure on the counter. The salesman offered no information of value, and actually misquoted several of the specs on the cameras. Disappointing trip, high prices, no info. Probably won't give it another chance.
great.
I bought a camera for a recipient's birthday... the recipient wanted to have the next model up.. I took the camera back and we were able to make an exchange that satisfied everybody's need.
They also took the time to explain the the camera's fine points and compared different manufacter's brand to the brand I wanted to buy.
I highly reccomend this store because you have people that know what they are talking about.
Excellent local camera store.. It's great to see a small business thrive in downtown Boston. Too many of them have gone away over the years, replaced with the chain box stores that may save you a few percent, but don't know what they're talking about and don't know customer service from the hole in the wall they crawled out of. As a semi-professional photographer, they have always been priced fairly with excellent customer service. Check them out, and ask for either Russ or Steve. They've owned the place for thirty or forty years!
