Ripped off at Monroe Tire in BJ's Stoughton, MA. Just like another reviewer I was ripped off by Monroe Tire. Same type deal, they get you in for the oil change/tire rotation then up sell you to buy something you don't need etc. I ordered the oil change and tire rotation for $19.99. I marked my front tire before I went to buy food in BJ's. When i came back I asked the manager if the oil was changed and the tires rotated. He said "Oh Yes it''s done, but your power steering fluid is filthy." They just happened to have a $99 special on changing the fluid right then... I said no as I knew that sounded fishy. I went to my car and the marked tire was still on the front.

I went back in and said to the "mgr" "You told me the tires were rotated and they were NOT. He had a "pat" answer after talking to his employees. "Oh there was a communications problem." Then why did he lie to me about the job being done? I went to get the Asst. Mgr in BJ's and she spoke to them and they agreed to give me the rotation and another free oil change for my other car as I had to leave with the food I had brought to my car on that hot day. When I opened the car door there was a big boot print on my rug--the BJ's manager was there and she told them about that also. They are supposed to cover the rugs with paper and did not. I left and went home and checked the power steering fluid--it was perfectly CLEAR--another lie, another scam.

I came back with the same car a few days later. There were two bays open and I asked for the manager who was out. Another young man went to the computer and after my story to him and looking at the computer he sarcastically stated it would be at least 2 plus hours to just rotate the tires. I again complained to Michelle the BJ's manager and she talked to them but said she had no control over them, so I left again after more terrible customer service/scams. I called the Monroe Corporate office and spoke with the "Director of Customer Service" who said they would only fix what the "law required"..he had a very nasty attitude and said he would get back to me after checking into this. He said the power steering fluid scam was not a scam and he would not replace the rug.

Another BJ's manager was supposedly looking into this further, but neither she nor Monroe Tire Mgrs have gotton back to me. This makes Monroe tire look really bad with their customer service and slick Tire shop. And as Bj's is subcontracting to them it makes them look very bad to allow these unprofessional rip-offs under their roof. It has been five weeks and no help from BJ's or Monroe Tire--stay away!!!! Do read about another customer's "brake rip-off" scam at the same Monroe Tire in Stoughton in May 2011 on this Yahoo/City Search site. I'll keep you updated on this. Never deal with people you cannot trust! Signed a ripped-off Senior Citizen.

auto repair scam. My wife and I went to BJ's to do some shopping, I noticed that the repair shop at BJ'S was having a oil change sale for $19.99. I left the vehicle there for this servive, on my return I was informed that the vehicle needed front brakes that would cost $560.00, but if I did then, they would take a $100.00 dollars off. After being in the automotive field for 25 years I passed on this service. I went home and online I went to Advance Auto Parts, front pads $17.99 Rotors $51.00 each, Total of $119.99. I ordered the parts, picked them up, took apart my vehicle, rotor wher fine, only had to install the pads returned the rotors. Total cost was $17.99 + tax and 1 hour of my time. Watch out for these scams!!!!! They get you in for a $19.99 oil change then try to get you for a $500.00 dollar Brake Job.
