Fresh, well prepared contemporary Italian food. Is it finnally possible? First rate Italian food without going down to Providence or in to the city. Leave behnd the parking hassle and the high prices and bring a big appetite. The service is attentive although the place bustles on the weeekends. There is a shockingly well done wine menu. The seafood mannicotti, and lobster cakes are awesome. The Veal Rotini a standout. Rumour has it that Joe hand picks fresh produce and fish daily. The bar menu is a nice lighter alternative. The deserts are passable, except save room for the homemade Cannollis... Oh My!!

Great overall experience!. The food and service is outstanding here. The food is presented beautifully.

Waitstaff is very attentive. Very affordable prices.

Tables are decorated nicely with linens. Very cozy place but not at all stuffy.

The bartender seemed personable and makes a great expresso martini!

Highly recommend!

2'ND TIME AS GREAT AS THE 1'ST. On a recomendation we tried Joe & Maria's new location, on Rt 1. What a great experience! The food & service was superb, just as good as any rest. in the North-End or Providence and right here in our back yard in Norwood. We were informed, that they were having a Special Wine Tasting & Diner on Dec 12'th for the holidays. What we experienced was absolutely GREAT! We sampled 5 different wines from Italy, Spain and Austria, each served with it's proper course. We started with Roasted Candied Shallot, and were delighted all the way to our main course which was a Rack of Lamb, and followed by homemade italian pastries and cookies. Each course was served with a wine made from a individual wine maker with a signatured bottle appropriate for the palate. my favorite of course- the Sangiovese by: Guiseppe Maria Sesti 2002. Everything was great-Highly Recomended
