owner lied to the bride about orders. said the orders had to be by a certain date and when they were, owner said they were ordered. i called a week later and was informed they had not been ordered yet. she also misquoted us pricing and refused to honor their quote. that is bad business. when i spoke with terry on the phone she informed me that i "didn't have to be in the wedding if i didn't want to". she had no right to speak to me like that. i was completely calm speaking with her and trying NOT to argue with her. they ordered several of the dresses too big and refused to listen to the bridesmaids wishes to order a smaller size. she also convinced the bride that all of us needed to order our dresses thru them die to the dye lot. the majority of us were out of state. i've worked with fabric for 5 years and know if it's a standard color, they will all look alike. horrible place.

Lack Telephone Skills

I was considering going to Terry's Bridal up until I called them on the phone. The women that I spoke too was very rude, and unhelpful. I has asked if an appointment was required as some places do not require an appointment - and she treated me like I was in elementary school by saying "Of course an appointment is required". Excuse me, some places dont require an appointment! Very snippy she was!

I also asked if they had Plus Size dresses - she was shocked that I had asked her that question.. as if there are no Plus Size women getting married. They do not carry Plus Size dresses, but can order them. Well.. what good is that? Just from the phone conversation I had with the shop, I have crossed this place off my list!

If there is one word to describe my experience it would be AWFUL!!

Awful! If there is one word to describe my experience it would be AWFUL!! My daughter was in a wedding and they ordered the dress too big. Once the dress arrived, 1 week before the wedding, they lied and told me that the size was the smallest in came in . . . a quick search of the Internet proved that the sizes actually started in a 2T. They refused to overnight me a new one, (b/c they are mfg. in China and it would be too expensive to overnight) and refused to offer any free alterations. (A cousin had straps taken up and a hem line done for $89.) So now a $165 dress is going to cost me 2x as much to have the alterations done. As a side note another bride was in the shop, and apparently the shop had order the wedding party's dress in the wrong color. . . . the shop was claiming again ignorance. . . They take absolutely no responsibility for what is ordered. In my case, they refused to acknowledge that they ordered the wrong size or even to admit that the dress could have been ordered in a smaller size. Good Luck to you if you decide to go with Terri's Bridal Shop . . . as I am finding out there is absolutely nothing you can do when mistakes happen - since you have committed to the wedding, you have to spend any amount necessary to get ready!
