The spectacular marshes of the historic North River attract a Who's Who of winged visitors..
In Short
The marshes surrounding the North River, as it empties into Massachusetts Bay, offer some of the best birding sites anywhere on the East Coast. This 175-acre sanctuary borders the North River with a mix of hardwood forest, pine, red maple swamp, salt marsh and open fields--a landscape that brings shorebirds as well as warblers, migrants and nesting species.
