A Once-great pizza place... but not anymore. This place has been here since I arrived in 1975. At that time, it used to be the best pizza and sub place anywhere. Run by various Greek-Americans since it opened, my extended family would rave about it and come to visit me just for the great pizza. Unfortunately, times change and owners change too. Seems this place has had at least 10 or so changes in ownership over the many years since I arrived and most of the new owners have been quite good about maintaining taste, value and very high standards... even if not quite as good as those earliest days when they were just about the only (and best) pizza place in town.

Sadly, I must report that the latest Greek-American crew to take over this long-time Franklin favorite (in 2008) represents a considerable step downward in quality, value, customer care and culinary skills. Prices are way up and portions are way down. Quality is just about out the window and you will be awfully lucky if your order is taken and made for you 100% as you wanted it. They haven't gotten it right for me the last 4 or 5 visits.

We rarely go there anymore and no one ever comes to visit me these days for the great pizza. It's a thing of the past. I can only add that you should check the menu prices very carefully and watch that you aren't overcharged. I've been overcharged twice (on multiple items) in the last month alone. Diners beware.

Good food !!. Hi,

Always is good to have a compliment. The complains are necessary to fix problems or deficiency.

But if your food is not as you expected, you must return it or call the restaurant at same time, to be refund or to let them know, that there is something wrong with their food.

They surely try to do the best, because they want you to come back!!

FRANKLIN HOUSE OF PIZZA. the best pizza i ever taste!!!i loved it!!! try it.and the best tasty and fresh subs.i never had a problem over there and they are verry nice!!!

The worst sub ever!. I am sure this place changed hands since the last review. First of all, their grinders are expenseive - almost $2 more than the average. Second, my husband ordered a steak and cheese sub, took two bites, and then threw the sub away. He said it was disgusting. The meat was fatty, gristly. The bread wasn't fresh. We have eaten at many different sub shops and he has never done this before. I never see any customers there, and now I know why!

Love It. I have not been in a few months so I don't know if things have gone downhill as another stated. But they had very good Pizza here. I will try them again.
