Big Selection of Dresses and Great Staff

I found Manhattan Bridal when I saw a dress in a magazine ad that I wanted to try on in a certain color combo (ivory/ruby). The designer said to go to Manhattan Bridal because they had the sample. I made my appointment and went in with my mom, 2 sisters and my niece. They treated us like family! From the owner to all the sales women. I tried on the dress I went in to look at and then about 80 more on the suggestion of my mother. The staff were extremely helpful and when I asked for their opinions, I got them and not the sales pitch of "that's beautiful on you" which was a huge relief because other shops I went to said everything was gorgeous and the perfect fit. If you've ever shopped for a wedding dress, you know that's not the case! The staff was friendly every time I called and whenever I needed something, they were always helpful! Two weeks before my wedding, one of my bridesmaids had not been fitted and due to her torso length need longer straps on her dress, the owner of Manhattan Bridal actually took them off one of her sample dresses, so the my bridesmaid would have the extra strap length. It was such a great and easy experience using the ladies at Manhattan bridal. I work in the bridal industry and reccomend them to anyone who asks! They were fantastic. To Patti, Jackie, Michelle and all the others, thank you for making one of the biggest wedding decisions so easy!!

PROMISED MORE THAN THEY CAN DELIVER! BRIDES & BRIDAL PARTIES BEWARE!!!!

I called Manhattan Bridals (MB) on 3/28/07 looking for an Alfred Angelo pant suit that I saw on the AA website for a 5/5/07 destination wedding in Puerto Rico. My first question was whether there was enough time to order it in time for my trip (leaving 5/2/07). The sales woman assured me that we had plenty of time and that the suit would most likely arrive on or about 4/20! How excited was I! I rushed over after work and ordered the $300+ suit (paying almost $100 extra in "rush fees") and was reassured over and over by the owner and every single worker that it would arrive in time! Long story short, I began calling MB the last week of April for a status. No one had any idea when it would arrive.... called everyday, they had no shipping info, no tracking info, nothing. At this point I'm leaving the next day on a flight to San Juan, I run to Macy's and buy a dress (bride is my sister!!!!!) because I was getting the runaround at MB and I didn't want to risk it. On the afternoon on 5/1/07 the day before I'm scheduled to leave, I CALL THEM AGAIN and am finally told that the suit arrived! No time for alterations or anything....Thank God I bought a dress because the measurements were all wrong and it definitely needed alterations. The woman who altered my dress told me that she had heard horror stories of MB leaving brides without a dress weeks before the wedding...apparently my situation is not an isolated incident! BRIDES BEWARE! Do not believe the hype that they do so much business with this designer or that designer and they can get your dress there in a short period of time... as usual if it sounds too good to be true it probably is! Never again!!!!!

Welcoming, helpful and affordable!

Today was my very first day looking for a wedding gown and thank GOD above I went to Manhattan Bridals first! They were extremely warm and welcoming right from the beginning. They looked into all of my preferences to see if they had what I had ripped out of magazines and if they didn't they searched until they found something similar or better. I never once felt self-conscious for not being a size 4 bride and the owner was so understanding when I told her I wanted to honor another appointment at another salon before making a final decision. I found a fantastic dress there for a very reasonable price and I would be shocked if I find a better dress for me with better service from a store. I seriously plan to go back to get my dress. I think others will find a similarly relaxed and nice experience. They really helped me feel like a bride!

- Cons: not enough parking???
