Great Selection and Service

I carpeted an entire house using Marathas Carpeting last year. Not only did they have a very nice selection, but the owner came out quickly to measure, product was in within 2 weeks, and I had an outstanding experience with their installer. My installer came back 2 weeks later to finish around two thresholds that he couldn't install on the first day because my tile floors were not completed. He was courteous, clean and pleasant. I have since recommended them to several people, all who have been very pleased.

- Cons: not as many full size samples as some stores

The truth

I don't suggest referring to Berkov's comment, there must be more too it. My husband and I had our living room done 1 year ago, we get a lot of traffic in my living room, so I really wanted a durable carpet. I was pleased with the finishing result and we plan to return for our downstairs basement in a few weeks.
The customer service was outstanding. We actually needed my husband's work desk moved last minute, and the installers were extremely curtious and more than helpful. The owner came out to measure my living room and was very honest about the style/type of carpet to choose( he came on the scheduled date). When I went into the carpet place to schedule a visit to my house, I was surprised when he was completely willing to work around my schedule and not his own.
The carpet has been down for 1 year or so and it looks like it was installed yesterday. I get compliments left and right and it is very pleasing.
To put a negative review on this website is ludicris and a waste of time, but I could not restrain myself from writing a response after seeing a false negative one. I do suggest buying a carpet from NJ Marathas Carpeting! I don't really know how to work this website, but If I could color in those review stars I would, without hesistation, color in 5 out of 5. I am sure there are a countless number of other customers of theirs that would feel the same way.

Avoid, is my suggestion

We initially had decent experience and decided to go back to order additional carpeting. The installation guys arrived 4.5hrs late, no phone call, no apology. Just a "do you want it done or not". They ended up destroying the house. Dents in the walls not only in the room but all along the hallway. Worst quality I have seen. Radiators were all banged up.
And for a finally, they dropped the shop vac at the top of the our stairs and watched it plummet downstairs. Dust and filth everywhere and my floors are all dinged up.
We called them half a dozen times and they never bothered to have the courtesy to respond to any messages.
