Cool off year-round at this drive-and-eat.
After driving your bucket of golf balls, walk over to Richardson's Dairy, which shares the parking lot with the range. We're told the dairy is one of the most popular landmarks in Middleton and has great ice cream.
Thanks to the recent addition of 20 covered heated driving tees, the range is now open 12 months a year.
The driving range, with 70 tees overall, can fill up on nights and weekends. You may have to wait 10 minutes or so for a tee to free up. In the meantime, you can practice on the putting green and the sand trap, or even play a round of mini-golf.
Buckets cost $3 (small), $4.50 (medium), $6 (large) and $9 (jumbo). You can pick up coupons in various papers including the New England Golf Guide, The Boston Globe and the Herald.
