Laura does my waxing and facials once a month my skin has never looked so good , I have been going there for over 5 years and never left with out feeling my best everytime. I highly recommend this salon and spa .
Best Salon in Saugus!.
I just wanted to say that I don't ever write reviews but I have been going to Root One Salon for years and didn't like the review I saw on here about the salon.
My favorite part of the salon....They are open 7 days a week and it's a sulfate free salon! AND they use all natural hair color! After years and years of bleaching my hair it's so nice to be able to use safe products on my hair and know that i'm not damaging it anymore!
I've been to everyone of the ladies in this salon for one service or the other and have never had any problems with my hair not coming out the way I have asked. I've had my nails done, gotten waxed, gotten several wonderful haircuts (by Melissa a few times and have been very happy with the results!) and had my daughters get their hair done for proms and weddings.
The service here is top notch! They are always on time, the salon is always clean and neat and the receptionist is always pleasant and eager to make me feel as comfortable as possible when i'm there. The girls who work in the salon clearly love their jobs and admire each other because they are always polite and friendly. There is no gossip or drama in this salon!
The pricing is very reasonable as well!! They clearly know what they are doing and I never feel rushed or like I have to walk out of there with hundreds of products!! They are very knowledgable and well trained!
I love this salon because anytime I want to stop in and have a quick blowdry or a last minute haircut someone is always available and I NEVER have to worry about who I am going to see!
Worst Haircut EVER!.
I don't usually complain about anything ever - but I have to bring your attention to the terrible haircut I received on Saturday. This was my first visit to your salon, I have a fabulous stylist in the Portsmouth, NH area but it was just getting to be too much to drive up there to get my haircut. So after reviewing dozens of salons online I finally decided on Root One because of the proximity to where I live, cost (though I ended up spending nearly twice what I normally spend on a haircut...) and there were many good reviews.
My stylist, Melissa, did not listen to a single thing I said. I was quite specific as to what I wanted done with my hair. I wanted 1-2 inches trimmed off the ends and my bangs trimmed up a little too. I said I did not want layers and stated that again when she suggested she add some. I told her I do not want to add volume to my hair, that I just want the ends trimmed up. She even messed up my part twice, I can understand once, which I immediately corrected, but then she tried a second time to part my hair on the incorrect side.
Every 6-16 months I cut 10+ inches of my hair and donate it to 'Locks of Love' - the ONLY reason I was getting a trim was because this is the longest grow out I've required and the ends where getting worn looking. The end result of my hair cut was nothing like I asked it to be. The right side of my hair is approximately 2 inches longer than the left side - I have layers ALL throughout my hair, so much so that the top layer of my hair in the back is approximately 5 inches shorter than the bottom layer of my hair. If I brush my hair out and let it hang ALL of the ends are uneven.
This effects me and my life greatly as I work part-time as a model and actor (in addition to my day job as a Marketing Exec). I had to cancel an audition tomorrow for a commercial Reebok is shooting in Boston next month because I do not have the time today to drive up to NH to have my hair fixed and frankly I am extremely embarrassed to show up to an audition with it looking this bad. I also feel extremely upset over the fact that I have to waste my hair getting it cut again to fix this mistake when all I really want to do is donate it to kids with cancer.
Cost of this "trim" was $75.
Newbury Street without the hassle!.
Like being in a high end Newbury Street Salon without all the hassle of Boston... or the ridiculous price!!
Everything about it is wonderful! The people that work there really know there profession and know how to make you look and feel like a million! I left there looking great, if I don't say so myself... and my cut was the easist it has ever been to style and control and continue to look the way it is supposed to! After allthese years... FINALLY!!! I love it!! Hands down, the best around.... but don't just take my word for it ... try it yourself... I had to share this because everyone is always looking for a good salon and has a "Horror Story" or tow or ten ... not so at Root One... FANTASTIC!!!! Incredible results!
