one of best pizza places in town. For me, The Upper Crust is one of the best pizza resturant. Just try, guys. One of my favorite is margherita
Just what I needed!. Usually I don't expect any establishment to be operating on all cylinders during just their second week in business, but when I went to the new South End location of the Upper Crust the on Thursday night, it was that and then some. The service was prompt and friendly, the wait time I was quoted for my pizza was accurate (actually a bit less, but no complaints there). The manager even made a special point to check on everyone who was waiting for their order to make sure they hadn't missed their name being called. My pizza was handed to me within 10 seconds of leaving the oven and was still burn-your-tongue hot after the six minute walk home. I tried the Hingham with bacon and scallops which was my first time having seafood on pizza, but I didn't regret it for a second! Delicious! Super thin, crispy crust, just enough cheese and very well seasoned. My only complaint is that they don't have their liquor license yet, but I was told it would be coming soon and that they would put out a sign when they had it. I can't wait!
Great New Addition to the Neighborhood!. The Upper Crust Pizza on Tremont is a great addition to the neighborhood! The pizza is tasty, the service is quick and everyone I've encountered there is super friendly. The manager recognizes me now -- since I've gone back every week since it opened -- and he even gave me a free slice the other day. That's all i need in my local pizza place!
One of the South End's finest pizza shops produces fresh specialty pies and light salads.. Patrons familiar with the original Beacon Hill location will enjoy the same speedy counter service at this offshoot, but will notice a slightly expanded menu and individual tables in contrast to the original's communal eating spaces. Creative diners mix and match from an endless variety of gourmet toppings (arugula, baby clams, Canadian bacon), and the menu suggests several tantalizing combinations. The flavorful "white spinach" (spinach, garlic, mozzarella and feta with no tomato sauce) and the carnivore-friendly "state house" (hamburger, pepperoni and spicy Italian sausage) are both highlights. Gooey calzones and fresh Greek and Caesar salads round out the offerings.
